Why is crying?
• Loneliness. Even once people are surrounding him, he still remembers the feeling of being completely alone.
• He fears that one day, everyone will abandon him for his insane ideas.

What is it like when he cries?
• Absolutely gorgeous.
• Rui tends to hold himself and rock himself back and forth in a futile attempt to comfort himself.
• He holds his showtime coat close. The smell of candy and ash reminds him of his current life— far away from his younger self.

How would he ask for comfort?
• This one is difficult for Rui. He's unused to having anyone around to begin with, let alone someone to vent to.
• He may just request to be hugged out of the blue, claiming it's nothing special. Just another strange experiment of his.

What calms him down?
• Being distracted. ( ask him about his interests, his bots, or something that he loves. You could even ask him about himself. )
• Soft things. ( blankets! )
• His bed. ( definitely likes to hide under the blanket in the dark. )

What makes it worse?
• Any mention of being "dangerous". That definitely hurts.
• Panic. If anyone who finds him crying begins to panic, he's guaranteed to mirror their panic.

• You stumbled upon Rui, curled up with his coat, in a dark corner of the Wonder Stage. As much as you wanted to resume work to avoid lapses in your schedule, you soon realized that he wasn't planning anything mischievous(as you previously thought he'd been).
• You called out to him and simply waited. He seemed startled at first, looking at you with his eyes puffy from crying.
• You took a seat beside him.
• One long conversation later, and instead of experiencing a rollercoaster of emotions, Rui was able to free himself from his sorrows.
• You listened and hugged him whenever he wished. The last thing you wanted was for him to suffer alone.
