For the following week I stayed by Bucky's side while he rested. It was as if his mind finally knew he was safe and could let his guard down. He killed Pierce himself before finding Wanda. She has been taken to the labs and experimented on for a new serum. Her body and mind are still weak but the doctors are keeping a close eye on her, so far they can't see anything abnormal. Bucky also memorised information that will help SHIELD take down Hydra for good.
On their way out of the base, Bucky took on multiple soldiers on his own which resulted in losing his arm. The top scientist at SHIELD, Suri, designed a new arm for him. It's all black vibranium with gold detailing. It's beautiful and doesn't hold the bad memories the pervious one did.
One Year Later - Bucky
The nightmares haven't stopped, but I get them less and less. I wake up in the middle of the night with Sadie right there next to me and I know my fears are no longer reality. My reality, is that two days ago, I married the love of my life. We've been living in our own place for a month and we can't keep our hands off each other.
After giving all my intel to SHIELD, they took down and finished Hydra with Steve at the lead. Sadie and I stayed at the compound until we knew that no one was coming after. I would protect Sadie with my life, as I know she would hers. I'm grateful every day that she saved me from being the Winter Soldier.
I look forward to nothing more than spend an eternity and every other life with her. My heart belongs to Sadie Barnes.
