my shift was boring, and long. I stunk of coffee but I managed to get a different shirt.

I finished at 3:30 and stood waiting for the bus when I got a phone call.

jaq

'he-' I started.

'jay ? where are you ?' she questioned.

'at the bus stop why ?' I asked.

'leave, walk home okay' she demanded.

'what, thats like a 40 minute walk' I complained.

'jay I'm not asking, please' she reiterated.

'fine' I huffed.

'okay, call u later' she spoke.

'okay, in a bit' I said ending the call.

I began walking home just like jaq told me when I got a text.

allan(boss)

no work tomorrow.

how come ?

shops been shot up,
hopefully windows
will be fixed my thurs.

oh is everyone okay ?

yeah, don't worry
I'll text you tomorrow.

okay, bye.

bye.

how did jaq know it was gonna happen, did she know who it was.

I was 15 minutes from home when it started pouring rain.

my white shirt started turning see through and sticking to me.

jaq

text me your
address I'll be there
in 15-20

I quickly texted her my address, before picking up the pace to walk home.

I had no coat as it was fairly sunny this morning, I should've checked the weather.

my hair fell out loosely, sticking to my face and my phone ran with water.

I walked up the stairs to my flat to see jaq standing at my door.

'sorry I walked as fast as I could' I smiled.

'it's okay' she said turning to face me. 'oh'

'what oh ?' I questioned worriedly.

'bit see through' she laughed.

I looked down at my drenched top, showing right through it.

'um'

she just laughed and motioned for me to unlock the door to my flat.

I pushed the door open and left my keys on the kitchen side.

'I'm gonna get changed quickly, living rooms in there' I pointed through the small doorway.

'no problem, hurry though' she joked.
