That's not Catra...

Double Trouble's scheme to play Catra may have fooled the rest of the Rebellion; but not Adora. Catra was always too quick to sustain a wound to the face.

~

Adora realised something was wrong immediately. The fight began as usual. Their back-and-forth banter, Catra dealing more than just harsh words, Adora fighting back with biting remarks, etc. But the fight seemed to end too quickly; too... in her favour. Catra always cheated in their fights. She had done for their entire lives, even as really young children. Where Catra was fast and flexible, Adora was strong and calculating. Catra could, sometimes, evade the brunt of Adora's strike, and on the rare occasions she received full force, bounced back up quicker than Adora would recover.

But this fight seemed... not like that. Adora narrowed her eyes in thought from the boat. Everyone else chatted happily; talking about the success of the mission. Had it not been for Perfuma, the ship would still be in the waste, and they'd be no further in their mission to try and work out what the hell kind of weapon burned in Etheria; what would help them win against the Horde.

Adora transformed back into herself; sighing slightly as the aches and pains from the fight made themselves known.

Adora injuries healed with She-Ra... She-Ra injuries did not heal with Adora.

She continued to glare backwards at the direction they just come from. Something was nagging at her... something was telling her, for some obscure reason, that she didn't just fight Catra... that somehow, that wasn't Catra...

She smiled at the sudden hand on her shoulder. "Why the frown? We won! We got the ship! Smile!" Bow cheered. Adora shook her head softly, forcing the thoughts out of her immediate thinking.

But the feeling never quite left.
That wasn't Catra.
