QUANTICO, VIRGINIA
"DON'T GET COMFORTABLE. There'll be time to debrief on the plane" Hotch told the BAU team as they walked into the briefing room.
"Where are we headed?" Reid questioned.
"New York"
"Five shootings in two weeks. It's about time we got the call" Rossi chimed in walking into the room.
"I want to take Garcia with us. Hopefully they'll give us access to their surveillance systems" Hotch told them.
"What do we know?" Prentiss asked him.
"All the killings are midday. Single gunshot to the head with a.22" Hotchner explained quickly.
"Any witnesses?" Carter asked crossing her arms over her chest.
"No"
"A .22-caliber pistol's only 152 decibels. Uh, New York streets and subways are routinely well over 100. It could be people aren't even registering the gunshot until the UnSub's already leaving the scene" Reid rambled to the team glancing around at them.
"They sound like mob hits"
"Except none of them have ties to organized crime"

NEW YORK CITY
The BAU team got off the jet and headed straight to the FBI office in New York as soon as they walked out of the elevator a blonde woman who vaguely looked like Hotch's wife walked towards them.
"Is it just me or does she look exactly like Haley?" Athena heard JJ ask Penelope from behind her.
"Aaron. How have you been?" The woman asked him with a thick British accent. Emily and Athena shared a glance.
"Well, thank you" Hotch replied, shaking the woman's hand. "This is my team. Kate Joyner, this is David Rossi, Emily Prentiss, Athena Carter, Jennifer Jareau, Penelope Garcia, Amy Gold, Derek Morgan, and Spencer Reid"
"Thanks for being here. Anything that you need, just tell me. Please don't stand on protocol" Joyner told the team, Athena nodded.
"What can you tell us about the city's surveillance system?" Garcia asked the woman.
"Um, it's run by the NYPD. It's still in the infant stages. It's been rather controversial" She replied with a sigh. "American privacy laws they've had some success"
"And I'll have complete access?" Penelope asked her. She nodded in response. Garcia smiled.
"I'd like to get a map of the borough. I want to do a comprehensive geographical profile of the area in order to ascertain the UnSub's mental map before it's clouded by our own linkage blindness" Spencer explained to the woman as two men walked over. One of the men stared at him for a second before speaking.
