Chapter 4

[Noah's POV]

I see Cody's face turn scared. But I quickly say something, before he can do anything!

N: Don't worry! I'll... Figure something out...! Give me a bit!

I stand up and tell him to stay, as I walk out, down the stairs, and into the kitchen, to talk to my mom.

N: Hey mom...

(N's) Mom: Yes dear?

I explain (and make up) that Cody is homeschooled, and now that he isn't with his parents, he wouldn't have anything to do, while I am at school, and so on. I try to ask if she could possibly try and get him into not only my school, but also my classes. It was pretty hard making up such a lie, but I can't leave an alien home alone, even less because he seems to be terrified, of being alone... But also I couldn't let him out of my sight in a public school! That would not go down well...! Luckily my mom is a very nice woman, and takes my side on the matter!

(N's) Mom: Of course sweetheart! I'll make a call to the principal, and get him into the school, and also your classes! He's really lucky to have a good friend, by his side!

My mom smile as me as she ruffles my hair.

N: Don't you mean "I'll try"?

(N's) Mom: Nope, he's getting into the school.

Mom says sounding quite determined. I laugh and my mom laughs back. I then make my way back to my room, and open up the door, to see Cody still sitting on the bed, but looking around curiously. I walk over to the bed and sit back down, next to Cody.

C: Hey Noah!

Cody excitedly says, as he notices me.

N: Sup. My mom will figure something out, so you can start in my school, already by tomorrow! At least that's what she claims.

I laugh softly. His soft smile turns into a big excited smile. He really is quite cute... I'm not even that embarrassed to admit it, to myself, anymore... I wouldn't say it to him though!

[Cody's POV]

Noah's the best! I'm so lucky to have met him! It's like it was fate! His mom's super nice too! He told me he has siblings too, but they seem to be out at their friends places, most of them at least. Going off what he said! But I bet they're nice too!

N: Anything caught your interest?

I look at Noah, a bit confused.

N: In my room, obviously!

He rolls his eyes at me.

C: Oh! Not anything in particular! But your room is super cool! Mine is quite plain... I'm not really allowed to have anything new or interesting... Everything has to be the same...!

I fall back onto the bed, and let out a big sigh. Noah lays down next to me.

N: Sounds annoying...

C: Yeah, really!
...

C: But~

I get back up, and so does he, and tilt my body forward, so my face is right in front of Noah's.

C: I'm here now! With you! And it's all so new, fun, interesting and exciting!

Noah giggles at my excitement, but not in a mean way-? I laugh back, and we both scoot back, so our back's touch the wall. We talk about all sorts of stuff! He knows about so many cool, and new things! After a while, I get up, walk over to his bookshelf, and look through the books he has, on his shelf. I see a plain brown book, with no cover or title, but with small stuff all over it (A/N: The "small stuff" is stickers xP), which quite peaks my interest.
