Chapter 17

[Noah's POV]
(A/N: I feel like it's Noah's POV a lot recently, but it matters to the plot, so yeah- XP)

I wake up, Cody being still asleep, hugging me in his sleep. He really seems to be a heavy sleeper.
BUT! Today I decided, that I wanted to take Cody out, on our first date!
I can't do anything near as grand, as Owen's parents did, but I wanna do something special for him, that I think he would enjoy specifically!
I already got it all planned out in my head, now I just gotta get out of bed, without waking him, and go ask my mom, if I can do, and buy, the stuff- It's nothing wrong, weird or dangerous, of course! But I gotta get her permission, just to be sure, that I won't get bothered doing it!
I've planned to go to the movies! Take a nice long walk through a REALLY pretty forest nearby, and lead him to see the SUPER pretty lake, that is in the middle of the forest, where we'll sit down, on a picnic blanket, that I'll bring with, and we'll enjoy some snacks, and such, that I'll, of course, bring along!
Not just any junk food snacks though!
I'm bringing proper picnic snacks!
I'm bringing strawberries covered in chocolate, sandwiches, juices, strawberry pocky's, because I feel like he would like those specifically, watermelon slices, and grapes! Some people may think, that that's over the top, but I think it's just perfect!
I just gotta get all those things fast now-! And make sure Cody DOESN'T KNOW!

I slowly work my way out of Cody's grip, luckily it was very loose, because he was asleep. I get changed, get out the door, shut it quietly, and make my way down the stairs to go find my mom.

I finally find my mom, who's in her office, doing work, on her computer.

N: Hey mom!

Mom turns around, a bit surprised.

(N's) Mom: Oh-! Yeah sweetie?

N: Could I PLEASE go down to the local supermarket, and buy some stuff??

She shoots me a confused look.

(N's) Mom: What do you need?

N: Can I be honest with you...?

(N's) Mom: Of course honey!

N: Me and Cody kinda started dating- And I wanna take him on a date-! But I gotta buy some stuff first!

My Mom's face lights up.

(N's) Mom: My baby's first boyfriend!

She squeal's excitedly. I'm happy that she's reacting positively, but I really gotta hurry- I don't want Cody waking up, before I get the stuff, and hide it!

N: So can I go and buy some stuff?? Also I'm planning to take him to the movies, and then to the lake, in the pretty forest, that I've gone on walks in! Would that be okay too??

(N's) Mom: That sounds amazing! Of course! I hope you two have fun!!

I turn to leave, when she quickly grabs my hand, turning me around again, to face her. She hands me 50$-

(N's) Mom: I know it's not that much, but I wanna give you a bit, so you don't just pay for everything yourself! Have fun! Bye!

She pushes me back around, and I wave to her, as I head out her office door. I get my bag, money, and phone, of course, and then I head out, to head to the supermarket. I get there pretty fast, quickly find everything I need, luckily everything was there, and I quickly make my way back home. I go in, up the stairs, and slowly open the door to my room, praying Cody will still be asleep, luckily for me, he was! I hide all the things I bought away, and go to wake Cody up.

[Cody's POV]

I'm awoken by Noah lightly shaking me, while siting on the side of the bed.

N: Morning! Did you sleep well?

He asks me, as he smiles at me, and I slowly open my eyes.

C: Mhm!

I say smiling excitedly back. Sitting up.

N: On weekends, we just get to make some toast ourselves, so we'll go make ours, whenever you're hungry!

I nod, and get up and out of the bed. I get ready, like usual, and we head down to the kitchen together. Nobody's in the kitchen, when we get down there, so it's really easy, to get the toast ready. Noah makes the toast, instructing me how to do it, so I know, for another time, if I were to need it! We sit down, and eat, while talking together.

C: So what do we do today??

I say excitedly to Noah, not really expecting anything big, but excited for anything me and Noah can do together!

N: I have some things planned for today! So don't even worry about it.

Noah says, and chuckles a bit.

C: TELL ME!

I say excitedly, putting my arms on the table, and leaning over towards Noah.

N: Woah woah, sit down. I'll tell you, when we're done eating!

I sit back down, and nod happily. We finish eating, Noah puts the dishes away, leads me into the living room, and sits me down on the couch.

N: Just wait here, gotta get some things, and then we'll get going!

C: Okay!

Noah goes away, to get whatever he needed, and I sit looking around his living room. It's pretty! There's the couch, that I'm sitting on, two chairs, one on each side of the couch, and they look just like smaller versions of the couch! There's a tv, on a tv table thingy. A big table, in front of the couch. Some plants. And the wall behind the tv, basically is just three big windows, which means you can clearly see the backyard. There's a big weird thingy (A/N: It's a trampoline!) out in the backyard. And they have a bunch of flowers all around the backyard. They seem to be taken really good care of them, because they look really pretty, and healthy!

After a bit, Noah gets back, and grabs my arm, pulling me up, from the couch.

N: Ready to go?

He says, smiling at me.

C: I'm ready!

He let's me go, when I finally stand up properly, and he proceeds to grab my hand. We walk over to the front door, and put on our shoes, somehow we do it, even though we didn't even stop holding hands. And he leads me out the door.

C: Sooo~ Can I know what we are doing, now??

N: Yup! We are heading to the movies!

[Noah's POV]

Cody's eyes light up in excitement. He turns his head forward, after looking surprised, and excited at me, for a bit, he smiles widely trotting forward. We get to the movie, after walking for about 18 minutes.

N: What kind of movie do you wanna see?

C: I don't really know anything about movies-

I chuckle a bit.

N: I already got one in mind, so don't worry about it! Just wanted to see your response.

I laugh. And he turns to me, with a exaggerated offended expression.

C: Hey!

He says jokingly hitting my shoulder, with the hand, that he's not holding my hand with. We both just laugh together. We get to the front, where you buy the movie tickets, and I pay for our tickets, to the movie I had in mind, and a bucket of popcorn, for Cody. (A/N: Just imagine whatever movie you'd like!)

We go into the theater, where our movie will show, and go find our seats, before it starts. I explain to Cody, that now we're in a public movie theater, he probably shouldn't talk a lot loudly, and ask a bunch of questions, because that could possibly annoy others, who are trying to watch the movie, and he nods, getting what I mean.
