I thought it was different.

A different choice, a different outcome.

Why does the outcome always lead to the path of Ruin...

~~~~Eleanor's POV~~~~
Xavier was sheltering me from the scene that we witnessed but I knew I needed to watch, like something ignited in me to scream at me to watch it. When Leonora started to lose the light in her eyes, her face went towards me and she smiled. This confuses me and I question whether or not she knew me and Xavier were here or not.
A light engulfed Leonora and it soon converged on me, both I and Leonora are now glowing and in one split second, we materialized somewhere else. My entire being is now face to face with Leonora but it seems tears are still streaming down her face. She took a bow and advised me,
"It's nice to meet you Eleanor. I apologize for this rude appearance, let me change that really quick"
In a swift motion, her tears crystallized and her appearance became that of a saintess garment. Her chestnut hair flowing around her like a calm ocean, her appearance was almost identical to me with some distinct features such as a bit of a pointier nose and her lips were in a bow-shaped instead of thin. She proceeded to open her eyes and smile while looking directly at me, I personally couldn't do anything but stare in awe of her beauty.
She starts giggling and snapped her fingers at me to bring me back to reality. She then spoke up,
"You must be wondering as to why I have brought you into this reflective dimension. I promise, I'll answer any questions but before I do; please listen to my story"
I nod respectively and let her speak, she smiled and bowed.
She continued saying, "For thousands of years, I have been going through each and every life; time and time again. We are always fated to that foolish yet wonderful man no matter what life we take role in, but destiny will always get in our way. Like falling in love with another or dying before meeting the other half or simply having no remembrance of our past"
"The list can go on for hours but I will not bore you with that. What I'm saying is that we are both fated to die but one way or another, majority of the time, it's by each other's blade. I love him with all my heart and it pains me to know we are constricted by this fate to kill and die by each other with every major lifetime we experience together."
I couldn't help but tear up to her story, she looked at me with such a sorrowful smile and hugged me. She also started to tear up and silently cry on my shoulder; it was just us and the isolated realm. After crying for a bit, she started to slowly get up and bowed while smiling; then proceeded to tell me,
"Thank you, it's been a while since I was able to rely on someone in this way"
I wiped my tears and smiled towards her. After looking at her, the surrounding materialised into a setting. It looked like a similar setting to what me and Xavier saw earlier. Though that reminded me, I asked Leonora as to what happened to Xavier.
She giggled and replied, "Do not fear my descendant, he currently has a meeting with his fellow ancestor as of right now".
She then did a gesture for me to follow her down a pathway that was being created as we walked, though as we were walking, I couldn't help but wonder how Xavier is doing...
~~~~Xavier's POV~~~~

In a brief flash, my entire being is now currently falling from a unknown height. In a quick succession, I managed to stop myself from being absolutely destroyed by the ground using Aeron. Quickly brushing myself off and wondering where I am, I called out for Eleanor to see if she is anywhere nearby; unfortunately, my attempts were futile.
