The Eyes that Hide

I kept thinking who was the one watching me from the shadows, this kept me completely off guard for a bit and make Edward to snap me back to reality. His face is showing a concern look wondering what is wrong, I simply smiled and told him that everything was fine and that he shouldn't need to worry. He gave a supported smile that he doesn't want to pry further, which I am thankful for. I gave idle conversation with Edward about the ceremony and how Kino just basically thrown us in front of a truck as many people will try to find members of the Imperial Family and attempt to be friends with them, this then allowed me to reach the classroom I'm suppose to be in for second period. I see Llana waiting for me outside of the classroom as we have the same math's class together, I waved at her to show that I arrived to enter the classroom together. 

We entered in the classroom, there were many students talking with each other and trying to make friends with one another but for some reason, most of the boys in the class stared at Llana when she was walking with me to our chosen seats. I honestly do not blame them, Llana was considered a beauty through her life, especially during high school and middle school; I never paid much attention as I knew she can handle it well. Unexpectedly, all of the boys in the class stare at me as if they wanted to kill me for being with her, I sighed knowing that they got the wrong idea and that she was just my sister. Though with this, I can't help but notice some of the girls eyeing me, this surprised me a little as I did consider myself as not that attractive to gain some people to look at me.

Llana and I went to our chosen seats and wait for the tutor we will have, I opened my phone to see messages from my other siblings saying that they have reached the classes they are supposed to be. I look next to me as that is where Llana is, she looks back and smiles with a hand pose which confused me a lot; I just sighed never understanding my sister. Everyone continued to talk with one another about the school, with the exception of me being able to hear their conversation due to my enhanced hearing; this lasted for another 15 minutes. As time went by, the teacher came into a room,

"Nice to meet you all, my name is Kriss. I will be your Maths teacher for hopefully, the entire year".

This made everyone in the room eager to know what they will learn in this class, this is because all classes in this school are much different to what they normally teach in other schools. He quieted everyone and continued,

"Today won't be a normal lesson as I will be explaining what is currently going to happen while you will be attending this school until the competition in six months. You will be having combat practice for 3 hours, each day for 4 days every week, a weekend that last for 3 days and theory work for 2 days and a few hours for every week".

Now that Lecturer Kriss explained what will be doing for the weeks of the next six months, he then proceeded to go around the classroom and give every one of us a piece of paper that had something on it. On the sheet, it had four questions, asking us: What our names are, What are our hobbies, do we have siblings and what is it you want to be in the next few years. This confused me a bit as you would expect these questions to only appear at the beginning of primary school, I shrugged it off and proceeded to answer the questions; I stopped writing due to me having a bit of a chill down my spine as though someone was watching me. I looked around the classroom and found no one looking at me, I told myself that I most likely did not get enough sleep tonight. I managed to answer all the questions on the sheet of paper and just sat there waiting for the others to finish, this allowed me a bit of time to shut my eyes. The continuous writing of the pen scratching onto the paper, people idling chatter to make new friends, the teacher constantly clicking on his mouse and Llana profusely clicking her pen to try and figure out what she wants to write down. 

This allowed me to have a bit of a rest and just think about this whole hectic morning that happened, that is until the same eyes that was lurking in the shadows looked at me again. This gave me chills a bit as I start to now getting frustrated as to who is following me and looking at me, Lana then shook me which caused me to open my eyes and wonder what she needed; she mentioned that she was worried about me. I replied,

"I'm fine sis, this day just took a toll on me even though it is still morning."

she then commented, "Why? is something bothering you bro? You can tell me anything"

I smiled and said, "Thank you, it's just that there is someone who is repeatedly staring at me and I have no idea who it is, it's like they are hidden in the shadows"

Her face showed concern and immediately replied, "I have been experiencing the same thing, I told Edward and apparently everyone else is facing the same situation, someone staring at us with no intent of harm but just curiosity"

This made me even more curious as the person knows all of our family even though we never announced who we are, I even told Director Kino to refrain telling the assembly that we are members of the most prestige and powerful country in the world. Many reasons as to why I like to keep it a secret, mainly that I don't like other people leeching off us due to our ranking or having any relationship just because of our royalty status; I want people to see us just the way we are and not from a status that isn't eternal. The conversation then continued for another few minutes until Professor Kriss clapped his hands, which caused a sonic vibration; This gathered our attention. He started to speak up,

"Okay, I have given you all enough time to write down on the piece of paper. It is now time for you all to introduce yourselves"

Of course he would ask us individually to step to the front and introduce us all, I sighed as I knew it was inevitable to not avoid this 'building' exercise so I just naturally stayed silent.

Kriss continued, "Okay so we will start in alphabetical order from A."

Almost every one has introduced themselves, all that is left was me, Llana and another person at the very back of the classroom. I was curious about the person due to how quiet they seem, that is until Llana came up to the front and introduced herself to everyone. of course, all the boys in the class stared at her with admiration and the girls looking at her like she is an idol. She then proceeded to do her introduction and everyone clapped, this made her bow and return to her seat next me; I teased her about all the boys and she rolled her eyes at me while playfully punching me in the arm. eventually, it is my turn to introduce myself to the class, I walked to the front of the classroom with everyone staring at me; I then started to introduce myself

This made everyone become intrigued as to who I am due to me wearing a mask due to not wishing to see people my face. It was now the time the last person come up to the front and introduce themselves, the person got up and walked to the front. When she went past me, I sensed a familiar aura coming from her but I have no idea where from.
