A Boundless Shadow

The New Beginning

I'm dreaming of a war, a destructive war, and a duel between a person and a lady who I have no idea who. This was until Edward woke me up from my sleep to tell me that we should wake up. I shot up from my bed and looked at my alarm clock, it is 4:30 in the morning. I got up and walked to my bathroom, washed my face and brushed my teeth, then proceeded to walk out of the bathroom and change into outdoor clothing. While walking down the hallway, the maids and butlers of the Solarian Realm bow down to me but quickly excused them as to show that they shouldn't bow down to me and treat me as an equal. This surprised them and that they keep on being persistent on bowing to me, but I reassured that it's okay and that they don't have to do the same to my siblings, They were hesitant but agreed and smiled to show that they are grateful that I don't seem them as just maids and butlers but people who help me a lot.

After this occurrence, I went to each of my sibling's rooms and wake them up, Edward was awake as he was the reason I'm awake, Xavier who is currently on his computer looking through the various designs for a work he's making, Llana who is on her tablet reading a book, Morgan, who is still asleep which is no surprise as she's only 12; Lastly, my parents who are also still asleep and enjoying the rest. I went downstairs to the kitchen, greeted all of the chefs and started to help cook breakfast for my family and the workers, Edward and Xavier came downstairs seven minutes later to help out with the cooking. We made many dishes for everyone to eat for breakfast and enjoy, the time is 5:30, this is when Christian and Llana wake up and join us with the setting up the tables. Once we all finished setting up the plates, cutlery and glass for breakfast, it was still a bit early so we went to the lounge and started to watch a few shows before the rest of the family come downstairs and join us.

The time is now 6:15, my parents and Morgan then started to come downstairs and greeted every member of staff that they walk past to get to the dining hall. We all stood behind our seats and proceeded to take our seats, this included me, my family and all the various workers that currently work for us. Throughout the day, we all make large amounts of food so that we can share with each other during meal times and make various conversation about what happens in the Realm or some stuff in our private life. We continued the chatter until it was 7:00 am, my parents told us to get ready to prepare for our first day of school, of which my siblings were relatively excited as we can meet our friends again after being unable to see them for a while due to our royalty duties. Edward and Xavier proceeded to go upstairs and comb their hair and quite possibly add gel in it, Christian went to go pack his stuff that is needed for school, Llana went to do her makeup as always and Morgan went to brush her teeth and change into her school clothes.

everyone is now ready and prepared to go to school, my parents were already outside and waiting for us to get inside the limousine. Before I'm exiting the house, I quickly went up to the mirror and straightened everything to make sure that I am fully ready for high school. Father alerted me that we are about to leave to go to the school, so I quickly rushed out of the house and got inside the car; Edward is currently looking at his wrist pad about some things going on in the Empire. Noticing that my siblings are just doing their own things, I slowly started to drift in my sleep until we get to the school. Just like my dream before, I imagine fighting this woman in a field filled with blood and ash from the fire surrounding the place, this drift me off to sleep as it feels like I'm no longer in the car but fighting this person. We arrived at the school and Edward started waking me up to get out of the car, I thanked him for waking me up and quickly left the vehicle. I noticed Xavier and Arno looking back at me and smiling,

"Had a nice sleep, your emperor?", they snickered.

I rolled my eyes and nudged them both to show that it's time to go, father told us to meet with the principal to thank him for allowing us to attend the academy. As soon as I looked away from my brothers, The grand scenery surrounded me like clouds of the divine realm overtook me. The polished marble, quartz and chiselled stone buildings built like the archadions built it themselves, I kept looking around the place, taking it all in. Llana pat my back, wondering if anything is wrong, I shook my head in disagreement.

"Just taking this beautiful view in sis", I said while smiling,

"It really is beautiful, I wonder if we will be able to make any new friends in this whole new land bro", Llana responded

"We will sis, we will", Edward mentioned from the back

Smiling, I gestured to the others to look for the principle's office inside the main building, they all nodded and walked inside. When they all disappeared, I felt the sense of someone watching me but quickly shook it off like it was probably nothing. Little did I know, it would not be nothing. I was standing below a tree, embracing the momentary silence and taking in the breeze, until my phone dings and disrupts the silence. Xavier mentioned me that they are outside the Principal's office and waiting for me, I started walking towards the office but kept feeling someone was watching me while I was doing so. Taking a sharp right, I activated a shadow ability, Hidden Reach, which allows me to go completely invisibility and hide anything that deems obvious to track me without seeing; it seems she also followed me here but I quickly evaded and went back on track to the office.

Llana took notice of me and waved, Edward looking while smiling and everyone else with a excited look to be reunited again. I told Edward and Xavier to come with me to enter the room and the others to remain here until either told otherwise or we come out, they agreed to the terms and waited. As soon as we entered the room, something extremely fast was thrown towards me but Edward immediately caught it and placed it on a nearby shelf.

"Was the whole ball throwing intentional Director Kino?" I asked.

He scratched the back of his neck while smiling and replied, "Sorry about that, I was testing if it was the real deal. Emperor Damien".

I smiled back at him and gestured a thanks to Edward. The director then gave us a sign to take a seat, he then said,

"I am so very excited for you to attend this fine academy that my ancestors have built and developed over the years", He exclaimed

I smiled while the other two were grinning like idiots in the back, I gave a reply,

"Thank you for allowing us to enter this school, we will be sure to do our very best during our high school years".

After with that reply, I gave a courteous bow while also shaking hands with the principal, and exited the room with my other two brothers. As soon as we closed the door, the others looked at us and looked as if they wanted answers as to what happened. Llana came up and asked first,

"What happened in there eldest?"

I simply replied, "Just an interesting welcoming, now let's go to the entrance ceremony. We cannot be late to this".
