A Little Rant About the Second Trilogy

I'm about 300 pages into the 6th book of this series, but I thought I'd give my thoughts about what I didn't like. SPOILERS AHEAD!!!

First off, Ricky. I didn't like how the author just seemingly forgot about him. Even after three books, Ricky's nowhere to be seen and is only briefly mentioned. This was a missed opportunity by Riggs to re-introduce him and build him into a proper character. I was already salty when the friendship between Jacob and Ricky was abruptly cut short, but this was a lame move by Riggs not to include him and develop their friendship with each other.

I think what would've made the second trilogy a lot more interesting and fun to read is if Ricky was included in the first book of the second trilogy, then found out later on that he was a peculiar. Maybe he could've been one of the seven prophecies. Who knows? Overall, this was a disappointment.

And lastly, I'm not a fan of the romantic relationship between Noor and Jacob. I'm also not a big fan of Noor; just a flat character. Jacob's infatuation with her just felt cheesy and forced. It's sort of like Jacob and Emma, but worse.
