A few days later, it was announced that the royals would make sure if everything went well and would be announced on the results.
As Sanemi was lying in his room, he started thinking about Giyu and the guilt he still carried now knowing it was a misunderstanding between them and surprisingly Sanemi wanted to talk to Giyu more.
With the help of Sorai, Sanemi send him to deliver a message to Giyu in the water kingdom. Requesting a place just for the two of them.
A couple minutes later, sanemi's crow comes back to sanemi's window with a response from Giyu
Sanemi had received back a message from Giyu saying- 'hello Shinazugawa, I really appreciate your request but I need to tell you that I made plans with Rengoku, the new flame ruler? I apologize, maybe next time?'
Sanemi was disappointed and slightly angry but just send his crow to say it was alright and as his crow flew away once again, he sits on his bed with slight sorrow
Sanemi starts to think about how he guilty he was just by thinking about Giyu's apology more until he got interrupted
"Sir Shinazugawa, you have a visitor. May they enter?"
Sanemi sighs before speaking
"Yea whatever"
"You may enter now, Kanroji Mitsuri"
"Goddamit.."
"Hi Shinazugawa! I want to hang out with you today!" Mitsuri says with a passionate voice
Sanemi wanted to be alone at this point but reluctantly starts to talk to her
"Uh why?"
"Well, Rengoku and Tomioka are hanging out together and since you seem to know Tomioka I thought you and I would get along well!"
Sanemi thinks about Mitsuri's response he mostly thinks about 'you seem to know Tomioka' and thinks why Mitsuri would make that assumption
"What makes you think I know Tomioka very well?"
"I saw him apologize for something and he seemed to really like you"
Sanemi knew Mitsuri meant as a friend and brushed it off thinking nothing of it but just felt embarrassed for his mistake and because of it he reluctantly accepts the offer
"Alright" Sanemi sighs
"Really? You'll hang out with me?" Mitsuri says as she begans to have excitement in her eyes
Sanemi reluctantly agrees and just took a walk with Mitsuri just hearing her talk over and over again. Sanemi realized that Mitsuri was helpless even though she took her duties strictly just like everyone else.
After a long day Sanemi finally went to his room after having a long day. Sanemi lay down on his bed reflecting the day in exhaustion.
