Chapter 9 - The Party pt:1

It was the next day, Kay woke up but felt something around her waist

-Kay's pov-

"Mhm?" I got up and looked to the side and saw Niki...wait Niki? Why is he still here and why is his arm around me

"Niki...?" I whispered, I tried to remove his arm from me but his grip was "Mhm...don't move" he groaned and pulled me closer

I wasn't expecting this, I didn't mind it but he was half-awake so he probably didn't know what he was doing

I stayed quiet and stayed in his arms, "pretty" I whispered, he looked so cute while sleeping, it was my first time being this close to him

My eyes wander around his face, taking in every feature that he has but my eyes fall on his lips, they look plump and kissable

....

My eyes continue to look at his lips, I just wanted to... "No! Don't think that Kay!" I thought to myself and shook my head, snapping myself away from that thought

"I need more sleep," I thought to myself, trying to think of something else besides his lips

I slightly move closer, laying my head against his chest, and listening to his heartbeat, a smile forms on my lips and I close my eyes, sleeping to his heartbeat

-time skip-

The two continued to sleep in each other arms until Niki woke up

-Niki pov-

I slowly woke up and let out a yawn, I was about to get up but I felt something against me "Hmm?"

My eyes widened when I saw Kay sleeping against me "K-kay...?" I wasn't used to physical touch or used to people being this close to me

It was weird, even though this wasn't the first time I woke up with Kay cuddling with me but still it was a shock to me

I would usually move and make her hug the pillow so I could get up but this time I decided to stay in bed with her

Moving her hair out of her face, seeing the sleeping beauty in front of me, I couldn't stop myself from smiling

Even though I was cold and strict towards her, I still couldn't stop myself from smiling when I looked at her

I grab my phone from the nightstand, I keep her in my arms as I scroll through my emails to see if my men have sent me anything

-Kay's pov-

Soon I woke up, still feeling Niki's arm around me, "morning Missy" I heard him say, his morning voice sending tingles down my spine

"M-morning" I let out a quiet yawn before looking up at him "No meetings today?" I questioned

He shook his head "No, I canceled them" I looked at him with confusion "Why?" it seemed weird for him to do that

"The party is today," he said calmly, I blanked a few times "Huh?" I was lost, what party?

"You didn't read the invitation?" he asked and I shook my head "No because it was for you and it would be rude of me to open a letter that was for you"

He raised his eyebrow and looked at me, did he think I was going to read the invitation?

"Oh I see, I thought you read it" he mumbled to himself before letting out a sigh "But we have a party to go to," he said

I got up and sat on the bed, I stretched a bit before getting out the bed "I'm using the bathroom"
