I look myself in the mirror. My hazel eyes trailing up and down the my body, admiring the dress I wore. Parker wanted me to wear a dress. Well they didn't explicitly say dress but said dressy but not too dressy. I feel like this dress fits well.I sink my teeth into my bottom lip. The darkish red was a good choice. It was one of my casual dresses my grandmother bought me for Christmas a few years back. Darla-May always thought it was a beautiful dress. Hell she's wore it on dates. Shit maybe I should change.
A knock on the door causes me to jump just as I hear the shower turn off. My head turns to the bathroom and then away, looking at the dorm room door. But just as I'm about to walk towards it Darla-May runs out of the bathroom. Her hair was soaking wet, all pulled to the side. She tugged tightly onto her towel that's wrapped around her bod6, covering herself up as she runs barefooted to the door.
"Darla-" Before I could even say anything Darla-May's hand is on the knob and turning it, swinging the door right open. I hesitantly walk over and pause as Parker stands with a single dark red rose in their hand. Their clothes fancy but cool. Their hair messy but flawless all in one. Her beautiful piercing blue eyes flick from Darla-May to me and shifts.
"Well, well, well, Parker Raines sure does know how to clean up," Darla-May smirks knowing that's my cue to walk over. "You look good Parker and if I was gay I'd so jump your pants right now."
A slight chuckle escapes Parker as they nod slowly. "Well I'm honored Darla-May especially with you in your new attire, but unfortunately my eyes are set on her." I stop behind Darla, chills spiraling down my spine at the way Parker's voice sounded when they said "her". I shiver slightly, dropping my head some as my hair falls in front of my face, shielding it.
"A lot of eyes are set on her Parker honey," Darla-May says, stepping off to the side. "And it appears her eyes are set on yours. Now I'm not playing any games tonight kid."
"Kid?" Parker questions. I pick up my head and see Parker's head tilted at Darla-May. Darla nods. Her hair beginning to dry. Her curls heavy. The blue shiny.
"Yep. I want her home no later than 1 A.M. you bring her home any later you talk to me. You hurt her in any way shape or form, you talk to me and then you talk to these hands. Got it?" Darla-May's smile was gone. My eyes were slightly wide as Parker nods their head.
"She'll be home and I won't hurt her," Parker gently says, choosing her words carefully. "But we should go. Hailee?" My eyes shift from my friend and slowly over to Parker. They smile lightly as our eyes lock. Out of the corner of my eye I see Parker extend their hand out and await for me to take it. I gulp silently and reach up gingerly. Our skin on skin contact makes my stomach twist and my blood boil. My body fills with chills the moment I feel their fingers slip in between mine.
My other hand clenches onto my small clutch bag, that hangs at my side. Parker squeezes my hand gently as if they can tell how nervous I was.
"Be safe! Don't do anything illegal! Oh and Parker, don't hurt her!" Darla-May shouts as I notice we're walking down the hall of the dorm halls. Parker chuckles slightly as we head out of the dormitory. Outside the air is cool but not too cool.
