I was happily eating food when me and my parents were called into the bride's room.
When we entered we saw Riya's dress still lying on the bed along with all the jewellery untouched. And a letter in Tayi ji's hand.
"What happened bhabhi?" Mother asked.
"Ri..Ri...Riya ran away". She cried. It was the first time I had seen Tayi ji crying and I felt bad for her.
"What are you saying bhabhi? How? How can this happen? What will we do now?" Father asked shocked.
"The groom is already sitting at the mandap waiting for Riya and they are the Rathores, if they get to know we will be in a huge problem" he continued.
"She ran away because she got some better work opportunities. She ruined everything" Said Taya ji angrily.
Then he asked one of the servants to call the Rathores secretly without anyone else knowing.

I was sitting at the mandap. Riya or her family was nowhere to be seen.
Mom came and asked me to go with her.
The whole Rathore family was going there.
When we entered I saw Riya's mom crying and beside her was Riya's chachi consoling her and her father standing with his head bowed down and his brother standing next to him and as I fully opened the door I saw a familiar figure.
It was Diya, I finally saw her, she looked breathtaking in that olive-green lehenga. I couldn't take my eyes off her.
