11. Double date

Over the past month or so, Matt has been feeling something for Kirstie and he wants to take her out on a date, but he is really scared to tell her, so he decided to ask Scott for help. Although, he doesn't know if she feels the same way for him. She lost her boyfriend a few months ago and Matt doesn't know if she is ready for another boyfriend.

"Scott, I need your advice," Matt started while they were doing homework in the hospital classroom.

"About what, buddy," Scott answered while he was playing with a fidget toy instead of doing his schoolwork.

"I...kind of... like Kirstie," Matt said quietly. Scott immediately looked up at him surprised.

"I knew that," he said.

"C'mon, you make it obvious just as much as I do."

"Then why didn't you say something!"

"You didn't ask."

"Scott!"

"I'm sorry. I know she likes you too, she has told me. You should just go and ask her about going out with you."

"How?"

"Just be yourself. How about this? I'll ask Mitch if you guys can go on a double date with us."

"Yeah, that sounds nice," Matt said nodding.

It was a while later when Matt entered Kirstie's room, he was nervous about asking her out but he had to do it, who knows if they are going to live long enough and there's always a first time for everything.

"Hey, Kirstie," Matt said sitting down on her bed.

"Hi, Matty. What's up?" She said happily.

"I uh...w-wanted to ask you if..." Matt trailed off.

"Ask me what?" She asked curiously.

"If you wanted to go on a date with me and t-that I-I like you," Matt said quietly and Kirstie smiled, she knew this was coming.

"I like you too Matt, and I'd love to go on a date with you," Kirstie said and Matt blushed. Kirstie giggled and looked at Matt's eyes. They started at each other for a few seconds until their lips connected. After a few moments, they pulled apart and smiled, they were in love.

Meanwhile, Scott and Mitch were cuddled in Scott's bed watching a Show on Scott's laptop, just enjoying the time they had, Scott then kissed Mitch's hair and he looked up at him smiling Mitch just kissed him back on the jaw and Scott blushed. "Matt told me that he likes Kirstie and is planning on taking her out on a date tonight," Scott started.

"Really? She's told me that she likes him as well," Mitch said excitedly.

"Yeah, is it OK if we do a double date tonight? It will be less scary for Matt, this is his first date ever," Scott said.

"Yeah, of course. I don't mind that."

"Great I'll text them."

At night, all four of them met at the park of the hospital for their double date. Kirstie was wheeling Matt while Mitch and Scott walked by their side holding hands, this was going to be a fun date. When they arrived at their favorite spot at the park, they sat down and started their double date.

"I've never had a double date before," Matt said. "I've never had a date before actually," he continued and everyone giggled.

"I've never thought I would get a boyfriend here at the hospital. When first got here, I felt like my life stopped," Kirstie said and Matt agreed with her.

"I thought the same thing until I met Scotty. He was there for me from the first moment," Mitch said kissing Scott's cheek and making him blush.

They talked for a few more hours until they went back to their rooms, but not without a goodnight kiss. "I love you, Matty, thank you for a nice evening," Kirstie said and kissed Matt before they went their separate ways.

"I love you, Mitchy. I hope you enjoyed this," Scott said and Mitch nodded smiling, they connected their lips and looked at each other before going back to their rooms.
