Arrows were pointed at our heads, several pointed at Elios as he growled at the elves that surrounded us. One of the elves stepped forth and relief washed over me.

"Haldir!" I smiled and bowed to him. The elf smiled in return and bowed.

"My lady, it is good to see you once again."

"Please, nin iar mellon, there is no need for that. As I've said many times before, Ari is just fine."

"Haldir," my brother steps forth. "We've come here for help. We need protection."

Haldir nods and looks at us. He eyes Gimli, out of disgust or hatred, perhaps both, I do not quite know for sure. He then looks to Elios, then to the hobbits.

    "Come. She is expecting you."

"She? Who's expecting us?" Gimli griped. I rolled my eyes at him.

"You'll find out soon enough, Master Dwarf. Now hush before they kick us out for your loud mouth."

Haldir leads us onto a Hill Top, one of which I've walked many times in the past. The others looked on in wonder. Several miles towards the South, a large hill raised out of the woods. Upon it was many mighty Mallorn Trees, taller than any other. Nestled in the mallorns was a beautiful city. It gleamed in the low rays of the afternoon sun, with hues of green and gold and silver glimmering. To the east of Caras Galadhon, the Woods of Lorien run down the pale gleam of Anduin, the great river. The Anduin was said to have been the hiding place of the One Ring, until it came into the grasps of Gollum.

At last we step into a beautiful, softly lit room of green and silver with a roof of gold. Celeborn steps forward to great us, closely followed by the lady Galadriel. I have not seen either in quite some time but they have not aged a day.

"Nine of you there are, but ten were sent out from Rivendell. Tell me, where is Gandalf, for I much desire to speak to him." Celeborn stares at Aragorn and I for some time before Galadriel breaks the silence.

"...he has fallen into shadow." Her eyes travel to my brother and I. "The quest stands upon the edge of a knife. Stray but a little and it will fail, to the ruin of it all. Yet hope remains while the company is true." She looks at the hobbits, Sam in particular, and smiles. "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Go now, and rest, for you are weary with sorrow and much toil. Tonight you sleep in peace."

While the others followed Celeborn, I stayed behind for I had questions that needed answers. Galadriel could sense the conflict within me. She stepped towards me and held out her hand for me to take. I placed my hand in hers, not surprised that her touch was soft.

"Ennas na- limb cin iest na heni-, nin meld gwin (There is much you wish to know, my dear girl)."

"Cin foeir, nin híril. Nin gwanur a Legolas ceri- ú treneri- nin i pant pennas. (You are right, my lady. My brother and Legolas do not tell me the full story). I want to know why Legolas left."  I watch as her face lights up in a smile.

"Arellia, long ago a prophecy was written. A daughter of an ancient lineage shall rise. Should she remain pure if heart, will be granted the power of her forefathers. With this power she will see victory in a great battle and a new era will begin."

"Power? Gandalf mentioned it but would not explain what it was..."

"Come here," she beckons. "Do you trust me?"

"Yes, my lady," I say, somewhat questioning her as to why she'd ask a ridiculous question. Before I could say anything else she summons an elf over. He silently comes to stand next to Galadriel and nods to me in acknowledgement. Galadriel gives a quick nod and within a blink of an eye, the elf takes a dagger from his pocket and slices into my arm. I hiss in pain and press my hand over it just as the blood begins to drip. Gritting my teeth, I look at her.
