Day 1 SK (Since Kamino)
Location: Ocinoc System
1500 hoursI follow my newly assigned Jedi general —General Plo Koon— to the ship. I peek around him to look at the clones standing in front of the large gray vessel. Other Clones and even a few Jedi run to their respective duties around us, and another ship takes off nearby. The Republic Base' ship hangar is much busier than the hangars on Kamino but isn't too different from what I'm used to.
The clones stand up as we approach, saluting their general. I'm both excited and nervous. Today is my first mission with the 104th Battalion. A real mission! I can't believe I'm actually in the field. I thought I'd be eating nutribars at Kamino for the rest of my life. I've just got to make the clones proud now that I'm here.
"The 104th has a new member," General Plo Koon says. I was taken aback when I first met him, just an hour ago. I'd read about his race (Kel Dor, an orangish-brown species with sensitive eyes and a vertical mouth) but had never met one before. Visitors aren't exactly a big thing on Kamino.
The clones all take off their helmets, letting me get a look at their identical faces. Their brows tilt together in a way that makes them look mad at me, which isn't actually much different from the clones on Kamino. The clones there aren't too fond of "defective" clones.
I'm one of said clones, in their eyes.
"I'm CT-9191," I try, hoping it's the right thing to say. They ignore this, introducing themselves in a line from left to right.
"I'm Warthog, the pilot." The first one says. He's the only one that's kept his helmet on. I recognize it as a pilot's helmet, unlike the phase 2 helmets the rest of the Squadron wears.
"I'm Boost." He's got his hair cut into two red stripes on his head. I've never seen a clone with red hair, so I'm guessing he dyed it. It's cool, and I silently wonder if I could dye my hair. I would definitely pick something with a noticeable color, even though Den Kiri would flip out. He's also got two scars cutting across the bottom right half of his face. That must have hurt a lot.
"I'm Corporal Comet." He looks like a standard clone, with his black hair cropped short. My own hair is brown, differentiating me from the other clones in yet another way. My resemblance to the clones is there, but hard to find if you don't know to look for it. I wasn't made the same way they were, but I do still share Jango Fett's DNA.
"Sergeant Sinker." The second to last one says. He's got white hair that's slightly longer in the front. At least I won't have trouble telling any of them apart. Compared to the clones on Kamino, these guys are pretty unique. Well, excluding the Bad Batch.
There's one more. He's got the same face as all the clones, but there's a scar running across his right eye. It's pale and looks mechanical. I'm curious as to how it got that way, but I don't dare ask yet.
