TRIGGER WARNING: suicide. Please be kind to yourself. It would make me genuinely sad if my writing hurt you.

Day 776 SK
Day 209 SFD
Destination: Unknown
0700 hours

I lean against Shark, watching Montann sit cross-legged in front of us, the Jedi holocron in his palm. My leg is stuck out in front of me, freshly bandaged. The cut was deep but clean, so Shark was able to close it within minutes. I resist the urge to scratch it as it heals.

There's a soft click, and the corners of the Holocron shift, so they aren't aligned with the rest of it. It floats just above Montann's hand, and Den Kiri's voice comes out of it.

"Beta. You have fulfilled expectations by making it this far. I trust that Kamino has been taken care of. The answers in this Holocron are well hidden. You will have to journey to an uncharted planet to unlock them, in the system of Enkrain. These coordinates will take you where you need to go."

He lists them and Smears records them, nodding towards me. I nod back, facing the Holocron as Den Kiri continues.

"I created you to end this, Beta. The galaxy is depending on you."

A static fills the cabin, and I hear Den Kiri's voice. It sounds... younger. "An army?"

"Yes," A slightly deeper voice this time. "They can fight the war with us. But I do not place my full trust in the Kaminoan cloning scientists."

"Understood."

The Holocron goes dark, falling into Montann's palm. He opens his eyes. "I've never heard of the Enkrain system."

"It's uncharted," Smears says. "I already looked. But the coordinates aren't far from where we are now. Beta," he looks at me. "It's your call."

I look from him to the Holocron. "Let's do it."

9191

"Commander," Smears' voice comes over my helmet comms. "You might want to see this."

Shark helps me to my feet and we enter the pilots cabin. We found the system half an hour ago, and left Smears to bring us to the right planet. I put a hand on the back of his seat, eyes glued to what's outside the windshield.

"Whoa."

The trees are a mix between thick boughs with thin leaves, and draping willowy branches with flowers. They're as big as the ones on Kashyyk, roots twisting and turning over the ground before disappearing into rich soil. Oversized grasses and ferns cover the ground, with exotic flowers bigger than my head. A maze of jagged rocks cuts through the greenery a few klicks away, colored like glass.

But that's not what blows me away.

A colossal leviathan skeleton is suspended by vines above a deep canyon. It must be ancient. All that remains is the bones and a few pale ligaments stretched between them. It looks so precarious that if even just a few of the vines holding it up broke, the entire thing would go down. Not a mess I'd like to witness.
