Day 50 SK
Location: Charem system
0900 hours

I move behind Captain Rex and General Skywalker as we walk off the ship, and onto the open landing platform in the Coruscant Executive Building. Captain Rex looks over his shoulder at me. "What are you doing?"

"Uh, hiding?"

"Why?"

"I've only met two other females, and neither of them like me. I'd rather just avoid her attention," I explain. He just sighs and looks forward again, eyes on the General.

Today I'm helping General Skywalker and Captain Rex escort Senator Amadala. She was called to attend a promising alliance meeting and has to fly through dangerous air space to get there. General Plo Koon said General Skywalker wanted me there for my sharpshooting skills and small size. I'm honored he thought of me at all.

So now I stand behind Captain Rex and the General as they greet her politely. She wears a long blue dress, and her hair is pulled back into an intricate style at the base of her neck. I didn't know you could style hair like that.

She smiles. "Thank you, General Skywalker, Captain Rex. I wouldn't trust anyone else more." But when her eyes fall on me her brows crease in concern. "Who's this?"

"Ah, you've noticed Pup! She's a clone from the 104th battalion. I thought you might like to meet her," General Skywalker introduces me.

Senator Amadala looks stunned. "She? She's a clone?" She looks from me to the General, who nods and signals for me to take my helmet off. Preparing myself for the inevitable judgment, I prop it under my arm and straighten my shoulders. I've never met a Senator before, just heard of them. Her eyes are a few inches above mine, and there's a slight glimmer in them that I can't identify.

"I didn't realize there were female Clones," she says.

"Pup, at your service. I'm the first to make it to the field. None of the others have made it past the early stages of incubation," I explain.

She puts her hand up to her chin, thinking. "And your name is Pup?"

"That's what they call me."

"I hate to interrupt, but if we don't wanna be late we should get going," the General says, gesturing for the Senator to go first onto the ship. The ship in question looks kinda sketchy, and I try to decide what her boarding first implies. Either the General has good manners or doesn't wanna test it himself. I know the General was hoping a ship like this would go unnoticed, but I'm thinking we should have left the escorting to the Coruscant Guard.

"You ready for this?" Captain Rex asks as we follow them up the ramp.

"Yes. I just hope our plan works," I reply, sitting in the seat beside the Senator as Captain Rex and the General move into the pilot's cabin.

The ride is smooth, and I find myself getting sleepy, eyes starting to droop in my helmet. Commander Wolffe's training is even more rigorous than what I did on Kamino. And I have to spend all my free time training Peg, so he can stay. I hope he's not giving the 501st too much trouble back on Coruscant.
