Redemption [Sweet Pea x OC]

Chapter 17

"Go away!" Sweet Pea shouted at whoever was banging on the door.

"It's too early to be awake," I mumbled.

"Go back to sleep," Sweet Pea said, burying his face in my hair.

I was nearly asleep when we heard the floor creak and someone jumped on the foot of the bed. I kicked out instinctively, connecting with whoever it was before sitting up next to Sweet Pea.

"What the hell, man?" Sweet Pea yelled, closing the switchblade in his hand.

"How did you even get in here?" I asked, glaring at the intruder.

"I have a key," Fangs said, dangling the keyring from his finger.

I grabbed it, throwing the key across the room. "Not anymore you don't," I snapped, falling back onto the pillows.

"What do you want?" Sweet Peas asked.

"I came to tell you Toni's making pancakes," Fangs replied with a grin, looking between the two of us. "God, I'm glad you two are dressed. Mostly, at least," he said, glancing at Sweet Pea's bare chest.

Sweet Pea looked down at me. "We do need to eat," he said.

"We do. But can you do me a favor first?" I asked, looking at Fangs. "Can you get me that roll of tape?" I don't think I've ever seen anyone move as fast as he did, slamming the door behind him as he ran out of the trailer.

"That was awesome," Sweet Pea grinned at me.

"We're not gonna let him forget about it either, are we?"

He shook his head, laughing. "Never. So, are we going to get pancakes?"

"I suppose," I said, forcing myself out of the bed and to the dresser.

"While you get ready I'll sleep a few more minutes," Sweet Pea said.

"What? Sorry, but that's not happening. If I have to be up getting dressed, then so do you" I said, walking back over to the bed and pulling the blanket off him. Before I could react, his hands were on my waist, pulling me onto the bed, laughing as he rolled on top of me.

"You were saying?" he asked, smirking at me.

"That wasn't fair," I whined.

"Does this make up for it?" he asked, pressing his lips against mine. I wrapped my arms around him, pulling him closer.

"Sweet Pea, we have to get ready," I said, breaking away a few minutes later.

"Do we have to?" he asked. He sighed, pulling me up after him when I nodded. "Fine. See, I'm helping," he added, slipping my shirt off.

"Come on, I'm hungry, and all the pancakes will be gone if we wait even longer." I changed my clothes and was doing my makeup when someone knocked on the door.

"I'll get it," Sweet Pea said, kissing the side of my head as he passed. Why did something so small make me so happy? It's a weird feeling, but I wasn't about to complain.

I finished what I had to do before making my way down the hall. "We'll be over in a few, we just have to finish getting ready," Sweet Pea said.

"I don't know what you're talking about, I'm waiting on you," I said, smiling up at him.

"Go, I'll meet you over there in a few," Sweet Pea said, returning to the bedroom.

I watched him walk down the narrow hall before joining Toni outside. "You guys are so cute together," she said with a grin.

I rolled my eyes, grabbing the two plates on the counter. "Thanks for breakfast," I said, taking a seat at the table next to Fangs. He instantly moved his chair over a few inches.
