I stayed where I was in the restroom stall, listening as Cheryl Blossom waited for whoever she was calling to pick up. She knew she wasn't alone in here, but the question was whether or not she knew who was in here, being that she was using speakerphone.

"Hello?" I recognized Jughead's voice.

"How's the lake house?" Blossom asked cheerily. "Are you all settled in and spooning yet?"

"Who is this?" Jughead questioned. I rolled my eyes, who else would be calling with questions like that?

"It's Cheryl, you welfare baby."

"Something wrong?" Jughead asked.

"Not yet," Blossom answered. I could hear the smirk in her voice. "I just wanna make sure you know that Archie and Betty kissed in front of my house night before Christmas, and it seemed pretty serious. Like, with tongue serious. That's all. Enjoy your couples-only weekend. Kisses to all. Bye now!"

I let myself out of the stall, standing next to Toni to wash my hands. "Did you just tell Jughead that Archie and Betty kissed?" Toni asked.

"Yes, so what if I did?" Blossom answered, leaning into the mirror to apply yet another coat of her red lipstick.

"DId you at least have a reason?" Toni asked.

"Oh, that's right, you're new here," the redhead said, turning to take us both in. "Hi, I'm Cheryl Blossom, aka Cherry Bombshell, which means I need no reasons. I simply am. Feel free to tremble."

I bit back a laugh as she turned back to the mirror. "Yeah, you made it clear to everyone our first day here that you think you run this place," I said.

"I have a better idea," Toni said calmly, shooting me a look. "Why don't you tell me what's bothering you?"

I leaned against the sink, crossing my arms. "You might as well, Toni is the unofficial therapist among us," I said. Toni reached out, placing a hand on Blossom's arm. I waited patiently, wondering how this was going to pan out.

Blossomlooked down at Toni's hand, pausing for a moment as if not sure how to react. "Get your Sapphic Serpent hands off my body," she finally snapped, shoving Toni's hand off before storming out.

"Making moves on the Queen of Riverdale High?" I asked after the door shut.

Toni sighed. "No, I just want to know why she'd call Jug and tell him that right at the start of his romantic weekend."

"Look, we both know he didn't go for the romance," I said. "Jughead's trying to dig up more information on Hiram Lodge for his article and what better way than to get close to his daughter?"

"Yes, but Betty is determined to make it a romantic weekend, she told me some of her plans for the two of them. She packed her–"

"Please save me the details," I groaned, cutting her off.

Toni laughed, walking to the door. "Oh, come on. It's not like you and Sweet Pea are the models of chastity."

"Shut it, Topaz," I said, shoving her shoulder with a grin. "Let's get out of here."

The next day, nearly all of the Sunnyside Trailer Park residents were crammed in the Jones trailer celebrating the news. The eviction notices were gone, all back rent was paid, no one had to move out. Hiram Lodge may have been one of my least favorite people, but he'd bought the trailer park and saved us all.

Unfortunately, Jughead didn't see it that way and made his views clear the moment he returned from his weekend getaway. It turned out Lodge had not only bought the trailer park over the weekend, he'd also bought The Riverdale Register, which led to Jughead creating some sort of pseudo-murder board to track Hiram Lodge's conquests.
