"What do you want, Forsythe?" I growled into the phone.

"We're going to see Penny. Where are you? I'll come pick you up."

I rolled over on the bed, groaning. "I haven't had enough sleep to deal with either of you. Why do I need to go with you anyway?"

Jughead sighed into the phone. "Because you were there last night, you knew what was going on. You've gotta help me. I"ll come pick you up," he repeated.

"No, give me a little time to take a shower and I'll meet you there."

"Okay. I'll see you in an hour," he said before hanging up. Demanding much?

I checked the time before forcing myself out of the bed. All too soon I was standing outside Penny's apartment with Jughead.

"Well, isn't this a pleasant surprise," Penny said, answering the door. "Come in Jones, Babygirl."

"What the hell game are you playing, Penny?" Jughead shouted the minute I closed the door behind us. "You lied to me. My dad's fine."

I looked at Jughead, but he ignored me. What had Penny told him to get him to go through with last night's job?

"I incentivized you," she answered.

"No, you said this was gonna be a one-and done."

"It's not like you have a choice," Penny said, pulling her phone out of her pocket. Turning it around, she showed us a video of the two boys carrying the crate inside while I held the door open.

"What is this?" Jughead asked, the two of us stepping forward to watch the scene play out on the screen.

I rolled my eyes at him. "Funny cat videos," I said sarcastically.

Penny shot an irritated look at me. "It's insurance you'll do what I say," Penny explained. "And if you cause a stink or try to back out, or raise your voice to me ever again, I will make sure that video goes straight to the Sheriff's office. God, imagine what that would do to your dad's heart. Break it, right?" I had to hand it to her, Penny always did know how to get under peoples skin. But then again, Jughead always was fairly vulnerable.

"But why? Why? Why me?" he asked.

"FP made a promise that he didn't keep. As far as I'm concerned, that debt is yours. And I am just getting started with you," she smirked before walking out of the room. "I'll see you tomorrow, Babygirl," she called back to me. "Be ready for a busy day."

"I'll be there," I said, walking to the door. "Are you coming or not?" I asked Jughead who hadn't moved.

"Abigail! Abigail, wait up," he called a minute later. "What the hell was that about? She has you running drug deliveries too?"

I spun around, stalking back down the hallway to him. "Would you shut your goddamn mouth, Jones" I snapped, watching the doors lining the hall. "First of all, that's none of your business. Second, I thought you had enough common sense to know not to go around yelling about dealing drugs."

Jughead glared at me. "Then just talk to me," he said, lowering his voice. "You've got something going on with the Ghoulies and now you're doing favors for Penny? Please, just let me help you."

I shook my head. "No, this is my shit to deal with. You have yours and I have mine. Leave it at that. How did you get involved with Penny anyway?"

"Can we go somewhere and talk?" he asked. "Somewhere not on the street?"

I nodded. "Let's go back to your place. And then you're going to tell me everything." I sat behind Jughead and he drove us back to Sunnyside.

"Okay, where do you want me to start?" he asked, sitting at the kitchen table.
