Elle POV

It felt like I had been in this ambulance forever. I was just watching as they gave him cpr. Kika hadn't let go of my hand. The ambulance comes to a stop, and we all rush out. I follow behind the stretcher as they take him into a room.

"Miss, you can't go in there," a nurse says, stopping me from going any further. Kika pulled me towards the waiting room just outside the door.

"He'll be okay," she says, stroaking my hair and trying to reassure me.

He was doing fine he was happy he was fine. What changed? How can he go from dancing to my music to behind in a hospital bed fifteen minutes later.

I took my phone out and dialled the number. I needed him.

Arthur POV

The race was pushed back two hours. Charles was sitting in the car waiting for the race to start. My phone began to buzz, and I pulled it out, seeing Elles name flashing across.

"Elle?" I ask as i answer the phone. I hear her crying on the other line.

"I didn't think you'd answer,"

"Elle, are you okay?" I say, glancing over at Charles.

"My dad," she sniffles. "I don't know what happened, but he collapsed. I'm at the hospital," her cries becoming more clear. "I need you, Art,"

"I'm coming," I say. "Text me the hospital name. I'll be there,"

"Okay," she hangs up. I make my way over to Charles's car, but I'm too late as he drives out the garage.

"Shit," I say, turning to find Lorenzo.

"Enzo," I shout across the garage, rushing towards him. "I need to go,'he frowns.

"What, why?"

"Elle rang her dad's in hospital. I need to go to her," his eyes widen. "When Charles gets out of the car, you tell him what's happening, don't tell him before it'll mess his race up just tell him I'm with her," he nods.

"Arthur, take the jet. You'll get there quicker,"

"I will," he nods as I grab my things, running out of the paddock.

~~~~~~
The flight felt longer than it actually was. All I could think about was how Elle was feeling. I've been in that position not knowing, but I knew she had Kika by her side to keep her calm.
She needed me. Those were her words. Even after not speaking, she needed me to always need me like I would always need her.
After landing, I got in the first taxi I could find and give them the address. My phone is finally getting service. I received multiple messages off Charles he would have finished his race two hours ago, which would mean he's hopefully on the way.
The driver stopped, and I got out, thanking him.
Floor 4 waiting room.
The elevator doors open, and I see her there in Kikas' arms. she looks up. She looked completely broken she pulled away from Kika and ran into my arms. I tightened my grip around her as she cried.
"Let's sit down," I say, moving towards where she was sat before. "Kika, go home. Get some sleep. I've got her,"
"Are you sure?" I nod.
"You look tired, we'll be fine,"
"Okay," she turns to Elle. "If you need me, call me. I'll bring you some fresh clothes in the morning," Elle nods, hugging her, then rests her head on my shoulder.
"I didn't think you'd come,"
"You needed me," I say, wrapping my arm around her. "Have you heard anything,"
"They said he had a heart attack he's in surgery," she softly says. I wipe her tears.
"He'll be okay,"
"It just doesn't make sense he's so healthy, never had any medical problems before, and he has a heart attack,"
"These things happen," the nurse walks out.
"Your father is doing fine he's out of surgery," she smiles
"Can I see him,"
"Soon we'd like to keep him in a heart attack in his condition is serious,"
"His condition?"
"Your father was diagnosed with cardiac sarcoma," Elles face drops.
"When?"
"From the records a few months back, it seems like it was caught pretty early in, but with this diagnosis, there is no cure so we'd like to observe him,' elle nods looking at me as the nurse walks away.
"Why didn't he tell me?"
"I don't know," I say, hugging her.
"I can't lose him, Arthur,"
"I know you can't, neither can I," he was like a second father always there for me and Charles. We've all already lost one parent. We can't lose another. I don't think Elle would be able to handle it.
When her mother died, it wrecked her she didn't leave the house for months she stopped singing because it got too much for her, and she completely broke her dad tied them two together he was her hero.
