Charles POV

"Cheri," I whisper in her ear she stirs opening her eyes smiling up at me.

"Amour," I smile at her words.

"I need to leave," she sighs. "I know, baby, but I'll see you soon,"

"I'll see you soon," I lean down, kissing her before getting out of bed and beginning to get dressed.

"Try get some more sleep," I say before giving her one last kiss.

"I love you,"

"Je t'aime,"

~~~~~~
"My boy," maman says, pulling me into a hug. "How's Elle?"
"She's okay. I wish I could spend a bit more time with her, but i have another race,"
"She's not got long left of her tour, and you've not got long left in the season," she says as we walk to the back garden of the villa we were staying in. "You two make a beautiful couple," I smile.
"That's all on her," we walk over to the table Arthur already seated next to Carla.
"I saw her dad the other day. He's going over to visit,"
"That'll be good they haven't seen each other in a while,"
"Jeffrey's visiting?" Arthur asks, causing me to look over to him he doesn't get involved in the conversation when Elles mentioned.
"Yeah, he said that he missed Elle and thought it would be a good time to go visit he has a free schedule," he nods.
"Elles missed him," I say, then look at Arthur, whose eyes meet mine. "Not the only person she's missed,"
Arthur POV
I missed her, too. I missed her more than I wanted to admit.
I typed out multiple messages over the past two months that we haven't been speaking, but I couldn't press the send button she stopped trying to speak to me after two weeks, and she seemed happy really happy.
Carla told me to just send the message. I told her I would, but I never did. I didn't know what to say. I ruined our relationship. I said some horrible things to her that I didn't mean.
I knew how much she cared about Charles even before they got together. I was just so angry that they actually became a couple but then I saw the way he looked at her the way she smiled around him and how could I be mad at that mad at their happiness when all I've ever wanted was for her to be happy.
I hated myself from letting it get between us and for not contacting her. I don't even think she'd answer me if I did.
"Arthur, I didn't know the race got cancelled this weekend,"
"Yeah, it was short notice we still aren't completely sure as to why, but it's fine,"
"Will you be watching Charles?" Maman asks.
"Most likely yeah," I shrug.
"That'll be good." I smile at her.
"Mexico always goes hard," Lorenzo says.
**2 years ago**
"Arthur, you hate spicy food," Elle says as I take a bite of her taco.
"Come on, it can't be that bad," I soon regretted my words as the spice hit, and I began to sweat. "How can you eat that," I say, faning my tongue as she laughed at me.
"I told you," Charles walks over, frowning at the two of us.
"What's up with you?"
"He took a bite of my taco," he nods.
"You should know Elle likes her Mexican food spicy,"
"Yeah, spicy not unedible,"
"It's edible," she says, taking a bite, the taco not having an effect on her.
"Come on, we're all going out now," Charles says. I nod, getting up not before downing the glass of water.
~~~~~~

"Tequila!" Elle shouts, handing me yet another shot.

"Do you have to shout that every time?"

"Yes," she clicks her glass to mine and downs it. I shake my head, following her movements.

"Come on," I say. Bending down, she jumps onto my back, and we make our way to the drivers.

"How drunk are you two?" Max asks.

"I'm seeing two of you," I say.

Max looks at Daniel, and they both smile, nodding.

"We were all just discussing the jump,"

"The jump?" Elle asks.

Max points outside to the water outside and then points up to the cliff.

"I dared Daniel to jump it, but he wouldn't,"

"I will," Elle says.

"No, you will not," I say as she jumps off my back.

"Live a little Art,"

"That's why you're not jumping off it. You'll die,"

"I'll be fine. How much were you betting?"

"Five grand," I gasp.

"Five grand?" He nods "God I'll jump for that,"

"Then do it together," he smirks. I look down at Elle, who nods.

"Fine," I say. "we'll do it," I grab her hand.

"You'll do what?" Charles asks, walking over with Lando and Pierre.

"You'll see come on Ellie belly,"

"Seriously, stop calling me that," she says, hitting me. The guys follow us out as we walk up the cliff

"Are you sure this is safe?" Charles shouts.

"No," Elle shouts back.

"Ready?" I ask.

"Ready," I grab onto her hand firmer as we run and jump into the water. The two of us laugh when we reach the surface sobering up.

"Only you two will try get yourself killed,"

**Present Time**

I smile at the memory I miss her.
