Elle POV

Charles Leclerc is off limits.

Charles Leclerc is off limits.

Charles Leclerc looks really good without a shirt. My eyes watch as he and Pierre talk at the edge of the yacht. Did he get hotter?

"What you looking at?" Kika says, sitting beside me, her eyes wondering to the spot my eyes were trained on. "Oh, I see," she smirks.

"I thought I was over this stupid crush for him," I sigh.

"You were you and someone to fill the void, but now you and Ryan have split, and Charles is also newly single those feelings come back," I sit up.

"Charles and Charlotte broke up?" She nods,"and this is how you tell me,"

"I wanted to see your reaction. Everyone knows how you felt about a certain Leclerc brother when you were younger and him being totally off limits,"

"Also, the fact he didn't like me and only ever saw me as his little brothers best friend," she shakes her head at me.

"He saw you more than his little brothers best friends. You two also got one as friends," I shrug "plus he always had a girlfriend when he knew about your crush now he doesn't"

"He's still totally off limits,"

"Whose off limit?" Arthur asks, sitting beside me.

"Your brother," Kika says, and he frowns.

"He's off limits besides Elle got over that stupid crush years ago," I lock eyes with Kika.

I never got over the crush. If you could call it a crush, I was madly in love with Charles Leclerc and anyone, and everyone could see that it was embarrassing.

"Yeah, she is," Kika says. "I mean Ryan and everything,"

"Ryan? We talking about Ryan?" Charles asks as him and Pierre join us.

"No, we're not," I say he nods at me.

Kika was scrolling through her phone, and then she straightened up, gasping everyone, turning to look at her.

"We are talking about Ryan," she says Lando comes out and looks at us.

"Ryan, as in Eleanor's ex?"

"Ryan, as in, he's just tagged you in a post," Kika says.

"What?" She coughs, getting ready to talk.

"I've written countless songs about you, but this might be my favourite Eleanor, this ones for you," she presses play.

"Oh my god," Arthur says. I put my hand over his mouth, shouting him up.

'Eleanor, don't close the door,' I gulp.

"Wow," Lando whispers.

"I wish someone wrote a song about me" Kika says

"You did one hell of a number in him," Pierre says. Kika hits his arm. "What I'm just saying," I look up, meeting Charles eyes.

"Why did you guys split up?" I was still in lobe with Charles.

"He asked me to marry him," Kika spits her drink out.

"He what,"

"He asked me to marry him, and I wasn't ready for that," I wasn't ready to let Charles go. "I'm 22. I'm too young for that kind of commitment. I said no, and he was okay with it he understood," Did he understand?

~~~~~
I was looking out at the water when I felt a body next to mine.
"Eleanor," That's my favourite sound, my name coming from his mouth.
"Charles,"
"Commitments scary I understand that, but if you find the right person, that's all you'll ever want," are hands skimmed next to each other.
"What if I think I've already found the right person, but it's a line I can't cross?" I glance at him.
"Aren't rules meant to be broken for a reason? Maybe the person you're thinking about feels the same way," he turns his body to me, his hand touching my wrist. I turn to meet his eyes, the sunlight hitting the both of us.
"I don't think he does. If he did, he would have made a move a very long time ago,"
"What if he wants to make a move now? What would you do?" My breathing was hitched be didn't mean anything by this, did he?
"All I ever wanted was for him to make a move," he moves the hair dangling in front of my face behind my ear.
"Can we stop pretending like there's nothing between us?" Am I hearing this right?
"What?"
"Let me make a move, Elle," I couldn't speak. I felt like if I did, I'd wake up from this dream. I was clearly in all I could do was nod.
He leaned down closer to me, our eyes never leaving each other. He looked down at my lips, and then back at me, I didn't pull away. It felt like hours before he finally connected our lips it was like everything I dreamed about. The butterflies in my stomach, the fireworks going off, and so much more. He pulls away, resting his head on mine.
"Break your rules for me," he breathes out his eyes, still shut.
"Charles," I let out.
"We aren't kids anymore Elle I know what I want and that's you,"
"I've only ever wanted you," he smiles kissing me one last time.
