Elle POV

"His things are in there, sweetheart," Pascale says, letting go of my hand my father never wanted a big funeral he hated the fuss so we didn't have one we did however have a wake for him a few days ago.

Nearly everyone did a speech speaking of how great of a man he was. I was supposed to make a speech myself, but I couldn't get any words out. I didn't know what to say even though i had it all written down ,so Arthur took it upon himself to read my speech himself making sure I got to say everything I wanted to my father and get the goodbye that I needed.

"Thank you," she smiles, kissing my cheek as I enter his room. This was the first time I've been in here since he stayed with Pascale. I looked around pictures of me surrounded the place.

I open the wardrobe, the familiar scent filling my nose. I smile, taking out one of his jumpers, and he wore all the time, hugging it. I sat myself on his bed just taking the space in.

Even though he hadn't stayed here long, he still made this room his own. Everything about this room was him from the scent, to the colour on the walls, the books on his side.

I had to empty the room everyone offered to help, but I wanted to do this on my own.

I began to pack his clothes, leaving some out for myself. I didn't want to put everything in storage. I take the pictures from the side and from the wall, placing them carefully in a box.

I looked up in the wardrobe in the shoe box I couldn't quite reach.

"Need help?" I turn my head seeing Arthur leaning against the wall. Charles had a race this weekend.

"I can't reach the box," I point he nods, walking over and leaning up and taking it in his hands.

"This doesn't feel like shoes," he says, lifting it up and down "its rather light,"

I take it from his hands frowning and walk towards the bed sitting down he follows sitting beside me.

I take off the lid, placing it to the side and looking inside.

"He wrote you a letter,' Arthur says as we look at the handwritten envelope my name written across it. I pulled it out, but it wasn't just a letter to me it was a letter to us all.

"He wrote us all one," I say, flipping through them.

Elle

Pascale

April

Kika

Arthur

Charles

"He even wrote kika one," I say they didn't know each other that well I wondered what he had to say to her.

"He wrote us all one," Arthur says. "Because he knew sooner or later, his them would come to an end," he held my hand. "Maybe you should read it?"

"I can't," I say, shaking my head. "Not yet anyway,"

"Okay, whenever you're ready," I hand him his letter.

"But you should read yours,"

"I will," he nods, taking it in his hands. "But not just yet, but I need to help you pack all of this away,"

"You don't need to,"

"I know you wanted to do it alone, but you've had your alone time it's time to let somebody help," I smile at him nodding.

"Thank you,"

"No need to thank me. You'd do the same,"

We didn't speak after that. We stayed quiet going through my father's things and placing them in their allocated box.

Charles POV

"How she holding up."

"You've not rang her?"

"Of course I have, but I knew Elle she tells me she's fine, but something else can be on her mind, so how is she?"

"I honestly don't know she seemed like she was doing okay when I entered the room that was until the shoe box,"

"What shoe box,"

"I see she hasn't told you let she found a show box in the wardrobe. I got it down, but it was rather light in it was letter that Jeffrey had written,"

"Letter to who? Elle?"

"To all of us me, you, maman, Elle, April and even Kika,"

"Kika?"

"Yeah, I know. i think it's about Elle. That's the only thing I could come up with,"

"More than likely, he left me one?"

"He did. I haven't read mine yet. I've just finished training. I'm going to read it later on,"

"Let me know what in it will you?"

"Of course, she'll probably tell you about the letters when you're home,"

"More than likely, she doesn't want me worrying about her, but how can I not? I left her at a time she's vulnerable. I should be by her side,"

"Me and you both know that she wanted you to go she didn't want you missing a race," I sigh "she needs you to win this championship so you can get married," I smile.

"I know it's a shame I never got Jeffrey's blessing,"

"Everyone knows he would have given it to you,"

"I know. I just wish thst I could have asked him properly. I got permission the right way. I guess it's too late now," xavi calls my name "I've got to go ill speak to you soon,"

"Speak soon"
