Princess' POV
A week later
I woke up and ruffled my hair. Today, I would BEG my parents to let me get back to school.
I got off the bed and entered my bathroom.
*****
"Dad! Come on..." I groaned. He didn't want me at school for another week!
"Mom, help me out." I said, turning to her.
She blew me a kiss and shook her head.
"I...what the fu- hell!? I fell much better! Stitches are all gone. Drugs are finished. Injuries are healed. Bandages are off. And if you think I lost my memory, then I remember when I was seven and dad put dog food in my cereal to see if I would realize it. And then he went to pick a call and I took a spoon full. It was really messy, but dad never took the blame any way. Though it was totally his fault. The same way it will be his fault if I forget how to solve math from being in the house so long. Also his fault if I don't recognize my friends again when I get back to school in the next...I dunno, TWO MONTHS? Lets remember Dr. Keiran's advice to keep my body working. But not stressed. Dear parents, lieing in bed and taking drugs ain't WORKING. I HAVE to go to school! Unless you want me to go cripple lying on my bed all day on Netflix or snapchat and tik tok instead of studying Chemistry and di sectoring a frog. LET ME GO TO SCHOOL!"
"Princess, would you stop talking?" My Dad asked rubbing his temples.
"If I'm allowed to leave this house, I would."
"Grab your bag."
"Finally!" I groaned.
That trick would never fail me. You know- talking total rubbish till they heat metals clanking in their ears, and then finally give in.
I gave my school bag to the guard by the door and entered the car as he followed me.
"Hey, Kevin." I greeted my driver.
"Princess. You're...not supposed to be in this car."
"Think of it as an early prison release. Lets go!"
He shrugged and turned the key.
Marcia's POV.
"Lets not forget how the doctor advised constant slight pressure. What could be more pressurizing than a building filled with teenagers and text books. And you know what text books do? They make you study them! And Marcia studies. Everyone knows that Marcia studies! And in school, Marcia can do what we all like. STUDY! And I can study for...GEOGRAPHY TEST! So, if you let Marcia go back to school today, she will be able to write her geography test which covers a topic that will help in her Physics test next week. Therefor, enhancing how bright her report sheet will be looking at the end of the year, this year. In summary, LET ME GO TO SCHOOL!" I rounded up my 15 minute long speech in front of my parents. Dad had begun texting a few minutes back, but was still listening.
He better had been listening.
Mom sighed and looked at her husband. I looked at them, the expectation in my eyes bore through them. Dad looked up from his phone. I smiled.
"Marcia. With that thirty minute speech you know you would have been at school already right?" Dad asked.
"Actually, fifteen..." I mumbled. What was the use of that Rolex of his?
Wait, what did he just say??
"Wait, I can go?"
They nodded. I let out a cry of victory and kissed their cheeks. I quickly ran upstairs to change from the suit I had been wearing to make my speech more...speechy.
