Hope and Faith close the door of their room quietly as Delilah tries to calm Henrik down while Ezra is outside fixing something.

It had been months since they had fled the Quarter.

Months since the twins had seen their mother and father. So many months that they couldn't remember the number. The journey was complicated and long, but they finally found the house nestled in the woods.

It was a cosy space, big enough to fit the whole Mikaelson family and then some.

As Delilah soothes Henrik, Hope nervously glances back at the door, "I don't think we should do this." Hope whispers over to her twin.

Faith looks at her sister with a frown, "You promised, Hope. You can't back out now."

"But what if they find out?" Hope's voice trembles with fear.

Faith places a reassuring hand on Hope's shoulder, "They won't find out."

Hope lets out a breath before nodding which makes Faith smile triumphantly. Faith holds her hand out to Hope who quickly grabs it while they each grab a hold of their necklaces that Phoebe had given them.

It was their last connection to their family, the only thing that they had left. Hope and Faith had promised their mother that they would keep each other safe, no matter what.

The twins close their eyes and mutter a few words under their breath as their joined hands start to glow red.

Suddenly, they feel a rush of energy coursing through their veins. They open their eyes to find themselves in an unfamiliar place.

In a field of some sort, the girls don't let go of each other as they look around for the one person in the world who could take away this feeling of hopelessness that they have felt since they arrived at their new house.

"My sweet girls," They hear and turn around to see their mother standing there, tears in her eyes

"Mama!" They both shout out as let go of each other's hand and run to her, where she pulls them both into a tight embrace.

"I've missed you both so much" Phoebe whispers to them, as tears stream down her face.

Hope and Faith cling to their mother, feeling the warmth of her embrace and the love that radiates from her. It's as if they have been transported back in time, to when they were safe and secure at home.

Phoebe finally pulls away and takes a good look at her daughters, "You both have grown so much since I last saw you."

Hope and Faith smile at their mother, feeling a sense of pride at her words.

"We've missed you so much, Mama," Faith says, her voice cracking with emotion.

Phoebe looks at both of her daughters, her eyes filled with sorrow, "I know, my little loves."
