Today was the day. Sarah woke up and called Chris.
"Hey!"

"Hello?" His voice was confused and she had woken him up. "Chris... It's noon," She laughed as he sighed.

"Are you okay?" He asked as she smiled. "Yeah... I actually wanna talk to you," She spoke fast.

"Oh, I wanted to talk to you too,"

"Oh... Do you wanna meet up by the park?"

"In how much?"

"20 minutes?"

"See you there Marie," She could feel his smile through the phone.

They hung up as Sarah rushed to get ready knowing the walk would take her like 10 minutes. She let her hair down, did light makeup, and rushed out of her room.

"See you later Mom!" Sarah smiled at her mom who was washing dishes. She hugged her mom goodbye.

She put her music on and smiled once Laufey was the artist that came up. She thought of everything she could say to him, but her mind was blank.

She now started realizing that maybe this was too sudden. She was already late anyway. He was probably gonna be there when she got there.

Sarah looked around once she got there and all the memories of Chris and Madi flooded her mind. The day they played tagged and had a picnic might be one of her favorite days of this summer... of ever.

"Sarah!" She heard Chris' voice and turned to him smiling. They walked to each other.

"Hey," He said as she repeated it.

"So... you wanted to talk to me?" A faint smile taunted his lips as she tried hard not to look at them. Her mind had been blank she didn't know what to say.

"I- Don't know how to say this but-" She breathes, looking at his eyes. She is so shy at this moment.

"Didn't you want to talk to me too," She laughed as he looked away laughing.
"You want me to go first?"

She nodded nervously.
"Um..." He started but then they both laughed at how awkward and nervous they both seemed to be.

"Okay! I'm just gonna say it! I am in love with you Marie,"

Sarah's eyes widened.
"It's always been you, Marie..."

"Chris-"

"That's why I broke off our friendship the first time... It hurt too much to see you with him. I'm so sorry I caused you so much pain Sarah Marie," He breathed out as she smiled.

"Okay... I said mine. Your turn," He said awkwardly.
"I feel the same way, Chris..." They stared at each other.

"Wait... actually?"

"Yes! We have kissed like 2 times already!" She laughed. His smile grew and the slightest shade of pink made the way to his fake.

"I didn't realize it till today late. But it's also always been you, Chris," She hugged him, not wanting to waste another second being apart from each other. She pulled apart resting her forehead on his. "Can I kiss you?" His voice trembled.
"Yes!"

They kissed there at the park as if there were no one around.

"I love you, Chris,"

"I love you, Sarah,"
