Steam rose around the room as the boiling hot water hit my pale skin. Tears freely fell down my face mixing in with the water. My pale skin was starting to look bright red but I didn't care. Anything to take away the heart wrenching pain in my chest. Letting out a chocked sob I placed my head in my hands before punching the wall. Pulling my arm back I saw that I had a cut running across my knuckles. Blood slowly flowed out of my wound as I tried to move my hand.
Deciding that I should just let it be I turned of the water and stepped out of the shower. Looking into the mirror I cringed at my look. My eyes were puff and red from the crying that wouldn't stop. I hadn't shaved at all causing me too have a bit of stubble. My eyes that used to shine bring just started back at me with no wonder for the world. Looking away I garbed a first aid kit and started to wrap my hand up to stop the bleeding. My mind started to wonder causing my to lose my train of thought on my hand.
When I had given Damien what he clammed to have wanted it felt as if someone had taken a shot to my heart but it wasn't enough to kill me, no. It was if they had shot me but I some how had to keep suffering with the pain. The whole time I had grabbed my stuff from the bedroom I knew that this would be the end of our friendship. Not once had Damien looked at me or had spared me a glance as I walked out of the bedroom with my bag in hand.
Last night was hard. Correction. Last night was the worst night I had ever had. Not only was in the second time in a very long time that I had not slept in the same apartment, same room, same bed, as Damien. I couldn't stand the fact of facing my family when Damien had told me to take my things. I didn't want to risk the fact in telling them what had happened. If Damien didn't want anyone to know about the fact that we were mates than I would respect his wish.
I took my things and decided that I would stay at the same place I had the previous night. The tree house that Damien's father had built for Amanda was far away from the pack house that not many very people knew about it. The only ones that knew where it was were a few warriors and my family as well as Damien's. Logan had out done himself turning the tree house into one where someone could live in. Often enough I found my self out here sometimes with Amanda and sometimes without whenever I just needed time to get way.
In this case I don't think it will be a one night deal. I wasn't planing anytime soon to move in with my parent and I knew that I couldn't go back to Damien for the main reasons. I would be find out here and hopefully it would help with the pain that I felt. Looking out the window from the bedroom I saw the morning twilight peaking up over the tree tops and decided that I had to do something today to get my mind off of what had happened.
I walked out and down from the tree house and started to make my way over to the pack house. The sun was shining high in the sky by the time I had neared the pack house since I was in no rush to get there. The little kids where fulling around on the grass climbing atop of a warrior wolf that laid in the sunlight. Everyone was smiling as I looked around. Couples could be seen laying down on blankets or just on the grass enjoying the sunlight and the nice breeze that would pass by.
It hurt knowing that something that I had wished for and waited for as a kid would never come to me. I would never enjoy the feeling of having and or even starting my own family. I wouldn't get to wake up every morning and see the face of the person that I would risk my life for, my everything. The feelings that mated wolves have I would never get the same enjoyment. As I was about to walk into the pack house my eye caught a movement that had my legs almost fall from underneath me.
Laughing and sitting together under the shade were Damien and Cassandra. Cassandra looked at Damien with love in both of her eyes, her smile was bright almost as bright as her eyes. Damien simply had a smile on his face as he held her by her waist on his lap. Cassandra must have said something causing Damien to laugh making him turn his head. Locking eyes with mine his smile fell down and was replaced with a blank expression. My chest started to burned once more as I saw Cassandra give Damien a quick kiss before noticing that he wasn't looking at her.
