It was a bit strange to say the least last night when we were heading to the pack house to get a good night's rest and sitting in a car with your ex best friend, your new best friend, and your younger adopted cousin and her mate in a car. If that didn't scream awkward than I wouldn't be able to tell you what else is. It was even more strange when my younger brother Link gave Kai and I the place to sleep in would be the old floor that was where Damien and I used to sleep.

Once Link told everyone where they were going to sleep I walked over to him to ask him why he had put us with Damien.

"Is there any real reason why you put us with Damien?" I asked him crossing my arms over my chest.

Link looked confused for a second before he started to chuckle to himself.

"Damien doesn't live on that floor anymore. Hasn't even stepped foot in that room since you left. Must have hit him pretty hard when you left, the two of you always did everything together and I guess being alone just wasn't his thing. Then again he's still living by himself but I mean what ever floats his boat hes Alpha." Link shrugged and gave me a pat on the back before heading over to speak to another pack member.

Kai gave me a questioning look as I started to look around for where ever Damien could have been. I spotted him in the corner of the room with his hands in his pockets as his eyes were closed as if he had fallen asleep leaning on the wall. I could tell that he was still awake by the even breaths he took as his chest rose and fell at a steady pace. Shrugging off Kai's looks I started to walk over towards Damien but was stopped by my mothers voice.

"How about you boys go to your rooms and we can talk again in the morning once everyone is well rested and you can tell us all about you amazing travels yeah." She smiled at everyone as she clasped her hands in front of her.

"We actually have to get up early guys, we still have to do that radio show once Royal gets here so we should get a good nights rest." Walter said and then gave me a pointed look.

"Especially you 'Mr. Sleep is for the weak.' You have an important announcement to make." I sighed and nodded my head in understanding what he said.

"What announcement are you making tomorrow, if you don't mind me asking?" Damien's voice asked as he appeared at my side with a small smile on his face as if he was thinking of something.

Ronnie was going to say something to him and I knew that whatever he would have said would have been a low blow to Damien for I could probably say out of the four of us including myself, Ronnie hated Damien the most. Royal and him ever since I had known them and ever since they had heard about what happened had taken in instant hatred for Damien because of events that were similar to my situation.

I cut of what ever Ronnie was going to say knowing that he would question me later on to why I wasn't completely giving Damien the cold shoulder.

"You can watch it on tv. just like everyone else or if your not to busy," I paused a bit looking over at Kai for reassurance before continuing. "you can come with us to the radio show to watch." I tried not to sound nervous as I spoke not wanting to drag very much attention to how much I might have been shaking.

Damien looked stunned for a second and for a quick moment I thought he was going to laugh and say that he had much more better things to do with his life then do anything with me. Instead he smiled and nodded his head.

"Sure I don't have anything to do tomorrow." He smiled down at me as I smiled back up at him.

This was Damien and even if we had changed there where somethings that I knew would have stayed with him and once of those characteristics being that he wouldn't just make fun of someone out in the open or make them feel down in the eyes of others it was something I should have never underestimated him when it came to that.
