Jungkook nodded in understanding, opening the door of his large mansion wide to welcome them inside. "Please come in," he said politely, gesturing for them to enter. Once they were inside, he closed the door behind them.
"Would you like some coffee? I was just making one for myself," he offered as they settled on the couches in the main hall.
"No, thank you. Just have a seat," the manager replied with a serious and stern tone.
Jungkook knew that he was in trouble as he took a seat on the couch, facing his manager. He could sense that the manager was here to discuss his sudden departure the previous day, when they were supposed to shoot the music video.
A very important music video shoot.
And he left.
Without informing.
"You left yesterday without informing anyone, even though you knew the shoot was important," the manager began.
"I sent an email about my sick leave. I informed the management that I suddenly fell ill, which is why I left without informing," Jungkook interrupted, trying to explain.
However, the manager seemed unfazed by his explanation "The entire shoot had to be canceled just because Jeon Jungkook decided to hang out with his makeup artist," he continued with a hiss in his voice, glaring at Jungkook.
Jungkook shook his head vigorously, denying the accusation. "It's not like that," he protested loudly and clearly.
"Y/N received an unexpected phone call while she was doing my makeup. It was an emergency—her father wasn't well. I took her to the hospital because it was urgent." Jungkook looked at Namjoon and the manager hoping that they would understand the situation but they kept their face blank of any expression or showing any kind of pity towards the girl.
"Everyone knows she doesn't have a car, so what else could she have done when her father was in such a critical condition?" Jungkook explained, emphasizing the importance of the situation.
"Jungkook, if there was an emergency, the girl should have informed us. We are her employers, not you," the manager responded pointing his finger at the younger idol.
"There are thousands of employees in Hype company who receive emergency calls every day. But are you there to drop them off at the hospital, abandoning important shoots?" the manager spoke in a stern tone.
"Our responsibility is to take care of our employees. That's not your job. You should focus on your career instead of your makeup artist," he added, forcefully hitting the table so done with the younger's reckless behavior.
