•Through it all, you've remained mine, my one constant—Unconditionally yours•
🎀•Chapter Twenty-Four•🎀
The empty dance practice room echoed with silence as Y/N sat cross-legged on the floor, her lunch spread out in front of her. She took a bite of her sandwich, focusing on her notebook, jotting down ideas for her next painting for auction. The absence of noise was comforting, a small escape from the chaos outside.
She was glad that her paintings had been sold on such a good price from the past month, making her family's financial problems stable.
And her focus has been more in her painting rather than the makeup or styling. Not that she wasn't doing her job good it was just that she wasn't so happy or so excited while styling the Bangtan members' looks.
She was completely lost in her own world just then, the door creaked open, and Jungkook stepped in, she knew him by his scent and his steps, she slightly raised her gaze to find him carrying a bowl of spicy ramen.
The familiar scent wafted through the air, instantly bringing back memories of the countless lunches they had shared in this very same place. Her heart ached at the sight, but she kept her head down, pretending to be engrossed in her notes.
"Hello baby girl," Jungkook said, his voice bright and casual as if nothing had changed. He settled down a few feet away from her, his bowl steaming between them.
"Mind if I join you?"
She didn't respond, continuing to scribble in her notebook, keeping her distance.
"Come on, it's been a while since we had lunch together," he pressed, trying to lighten the mood. "I brought your favorite!"
Still, Y/N remained silent, her heart racing as she fought the urge to look up. She could feel his gaze on her, searching for a reaction.
After a moment, Jungkook leaned forward, a playful smile on his lips. "You know, it's kind of lonely eating ramen by myself. We used to love sharing ramen eating from one bowl."
"Those little ramen dates were always my favorite," he confessed.
Finally, she glanced at him, her expression unreadable. "Things change, Jungkook."
His smile faltered for just a second, but he quickly recovered. "True, but I didn't think you'd change this much. You've been completely avoiding me for over a month."
"Maybe I just need some space," Y/N took a deep breath, her grip tightening on her pen.
"Space?" He asked with a raised eyebrow.
She shot him a glare, her patience wearing thin. "What? Only you get to choose when we stay together and when we not?" she nearly yelled at him.
