🎀•Chapter Twenty•🎀

Y/N sat on her father's bed, her head resting against the headboard. In the days since the funeral, she had spoken very little. Even when her older brother Skye returned from Paris, he was equally devastated by their father's sudden passing.

Skye had been in tears for days, and Y/N had tried her best to console both him and Sam, but in the end, she simply wasn't strong enough. The funeral had left them all broken inside. Without any emotional support, the pain felt ten times worse.

All they could do was talk to each other about their beloved father, recalling the beautiful memories they weren't ready to let go of. It had been seven days since Y/N lost her father, and today, she finally switched on her mobile phone.

As she looked through the photos she had taken with her father over the years, her heart shattered. "I miss you so much, Papa," she mumbled in a devastated tone. The death of her father had left her soul damaged.

It felt as if her heart was still beating, but there were no emotions left inside it. Everything was numb. Her eyes were bloodshot from the tears she had been holding back, desperate to cry out loud but unable to let them fall.

She scrolled through the sweet text messages her father had sent her, aching to hear his voice one more time. Backing out of the conversation, Jungkook's name suddenly appeared at the top of her unread messages, waiting for her.

"If you had to back out at the last moment, then why the fuck did you give me hopes? You are nothing but a liar! I will never forgive you for this!"

Y/N could sense the anger and betrayal emanating from Jungkook's message. She knew he had no idea what she had been through, so perhaps his irritation was justified.

Glancing at the clock, Y/N noted that Jungkook might not be too busy at the moment. She was aware of his hectic schedule, and figured he might currently be at his hotel room.

"I should call him... he deserves to know my pain..."

Gathering her courage, Y/N dialed Jungkook's number "Pick up Jeon Jungkook... please pick up my call..." she whispered in a broken tone.

The line rang several times, and after what felt like an eternity, he finally answered.

"Hello?" Jungkook's deep, familiar voice came through the receiver. Y/N closed her eyes, desperately wishing she could call him back to Seoul so she could cry in his arms about all the pain she was experiencing. She ached to be consoled by him during this difficult time.

I missed his voice so much.

If only I was in your arms at the moment.

I would cry my heart out.
