10 - Closer

Over the next week or so, Jihyo and Sana spent the majority of their time with each other. Seeing each other so often became the routine, and the days passed quickly.

[A/N: they call each other by their last names at work but by first names outside of work! such professionalism ik.]

The room had been silent for a while, now. The only sounds breaking the silence were keyboard clicks and the occasional sigh of frustration.
...

Jihyo quickly stands up from her seat and does a long stretch. "Mm~!" She groans out loud.

★: (I'm finished! Finally, I've been sitting here for like 2 hours~)
♥︎: (!!!)

Sana, who was working at the desk beside Jihyo, was startled by the sudden movement.

★: (Oh wait, I forgot Sana's in here too-! I hope I didn't scare her..)
♥︎: (That scared me.. my heart beating so fast;;)

The two glance over at one another at the same time, and accidentally make eye contact. In sync, they both quickly looked away, hoping the other didn't notice.

★: (Is Sana gonna take a break soon? I wanted to eat something..)
♥︎: (I'm gonna take a small break. I really wanna eat something..)

*gggrummmmbblleeeeeee—....*

The noise echoed throughout the room, bouncing off the glass panel walls and smooth stone floor. Jihyo and Sana could only look at each other awkwardly until the sound came to a stop.

"Pfft~t..! Ms. Minatozaki, let's stop by the lunch room." Jihyo smiles, trying to hold her laugh.

Sana uses her hands to cover her face and gives a little nod of confirmation.

★: (Sana must be very hungry, I should've ordered some lunch earlier. I should ask about what she likes to eat.)
♥︎: (...Oh my god. That was so embarrassing-!! Why did my stomach betray me like that!? At least Jihyo found it funny..)

*grumble*

"...See? I'm hungry too, so don't be embarrassed! Let's get going, Ms. Minatozaki."

★: (My stomach growled at the perfect time! Hopefully that made Sana feel less embarrassed.)
♥︎: (Jihyo's trying to make me feel better! She's so positive, it's cute. I should repay her for her kindness)

Sana uncovers her face and smiles. "Thanks, Ms. Park. Let's go!"

★: (Oh, she's energetic again. That's great, I'm glad she's feeling better. Her smile.. really reminds me of a puppy)
♥︎: (I should take her out sometime.. but she's so busy recently. Well, this works fine for now too.)
