14 - Suspects..? Pt.1

—ParkCo. Security Room— Tuesday, August 27th, XX35, 9:18 AM, the next day
[Jihyo's POV]

After last night's conversation, Jihyo and Jeongyeon woke up early the following morning and went to review the security footage at Park. Co. They focused on the cameras placed in the elevator and outside Jihyo's office.

"Jeongyeon, have you found anything yet?"

"No, I've got nothing so far."

"Hah.. the elevator footage doesn't seem to have captured any suspicious activity. There's just too much to look through."

"Wait" Jeongyeon suddenly says, "Jihyo, come take a look at this."

Jihyo stops looking at the elevator footage and heads over to Jeongyeon— who's looking over the office footage.

"What is it?" Jihyo asks, hovering over the laptop.

Jeongyeon taps on the screen, and Jihyo leans in to take a closer look. "Here, look. The footage from July 29th to August 4th is corrupted."

Jihyo looks at what Jeongyeon was referring to; the footage for that week was indeed missing. "That's suspicious... Even if some footage gets corrupted, it usually lasts for just a couple of hours. That whole week's footage is missing."

"I remember the security officer informing Nayeon about the footage a while ago, do you think we should ask her about it maybe..?"

"No... I don't want to get her involved with this. But.. well, I'll consider it. Let's just continue with what information we've gathered so far, and then ask Nayeon if we reach a dead end."

Jeongyeon nods, and they wrap up whatever footage they are looking over. They inform the head security guard to tell Jihyo herself if anything goes wrong with any other footage and head over to Jihyo's office.

—ParkCo. Jihyo's Office— 9:30 AM
"Okay, I've already created a list of the people who are possible suspects of being traitors", Jihyo says as she sits down at her desk.

Jeongyeon slid a chair beside Jihyo, instantly intrigued by the news. "Wait, really? That's so quick, how did you do that?" she asks.

"Well, the only people who could have taken those photos must have access to my office floor, right? All people with access to elevator keys are in a position like a manager or higher, so I can eliminate all the low-level employees whom I don't interact with, as major suspects."

"Ohh that's smart.. but what if—"

*knock knock*

Suddenly, they hear a faint knock on the door. Jihyo and Jeongyeon immediately lock eyes with each other, obviously startled.
