Jihyo waits patiently, her heart practically beating out of her chest as she anticipates Sana's arrival.
★: (There's no way she wouldn't come. She promised... but she's late... what if she just decided last minute that she didn't want to see me?)
Jihyo's mind had started racing, creating scenarios and jumping to conclusions about why Sana was late. Was she doing this deliberately? Surely she could tell how badly Jihyo wanted—no, needed, to see her.
She was beginning to doubt Sana's words, her insecurities seeping into her thoughts and regrets... but the sound of the doorknob turning snapped her back into reality.
Jihyo stood up, waiting to see if Sana had finally showed up. A head peeks around the door and scans the small room, immediately locking eyes with Jihyo.
"S-Sana! You're here."
"Ah, hi..."
She gives a small smile and comes inside, still clearly wary of her surroundings.

"Sorry if it's a little cramped here. We needed a private space to talk, but I also wanted to treat you to lunch..." she says, rubbing the back of her neck.
"I-it's fine."
Jihyo pulls out a chair and gestures for Sana to sit. "Come, have a seat."
"Thank you..."
After she makes sure Sana is comfortably seated, Jihyo takes a seat at the other side of the table.
"D-do you want to look at the menu?" She slides the pamphlet toward Sana.
"I'm okay, I think I'll just have some water."
"Are you sure...? No food, or anything?"
"Yeah, I'm fine."
Jihyo presses a button on the wall. Soon after, a waiter comes in to take their orders.
"Hello, what'll it be for you today?" They ask, taking out a small notebook and pen.
"I'll just take an iced latte. For her..." Jihyo looks back at Sana.
"Are you sure you want just water? I've heard that they serve great coffee here."
Sana thinks for a moment. "Ah... I guess I'll have a coffee then if that's okay with you."
Jihyo smiles at her. "Of course," she says, turning back to the waiter. "And I'll have a sweet cream, vanilla cold brew for her."
