21 - Your Fiancée!?

[Sana's POV]

Momo had yet to return home, apparently still busy with "family" issues. Fine, it seemed reasonable enough that she was busy dealing with family matters, but it did confuse Sana...

If it was truly family business, wouldn't she also be involved? She was practically part of the family—Momo's father even treated her as if she were his second daughter.

Still, she needed to speak with Momo as soon as possible.

Jeongyeon's sudden message last night made Sana reevaluate her take on the situation. She made a fair point, telling Sana to set aside her personal biases and to look at it from a different perspective... but it wasn't an easy thing to do.

(Ugh, now isn't the time to think about this again.)

She should be focusing on working hard and being efficient at her job...she was in the office after all.

Sana resumes working quietly like her coworkers. Still, she often gets bored and lets her eyes wander around the office. This time, she catches a glimpse of a particular shine on Tzuyu's finger.

(Is that...?)

"Is that a ring?" Sana asks.

Tzuyu seems very caught off guard by this question, turning to look at Sana. "E-eh? Oh—"

She looks down at her hand, covering her finger.

"I-I forgot to take it off this morning!" she claims, shocked.

The group on the other side also hears this interaction and leans in to join the conversation.

"Huh, a ring!?" Somi exclaims. "Tzuyu, are you married!?"

"I— uhm... I'm engaged, actually..." Tzuyu turns away, her face flushed with pink.

"Huh~?? Woah, congratulations Tzuyu!" Yunjin says, giving a quiet applause.

"Eh~ Congrats, Tzuyu!" Sakura says, clapping softly.

"Congratulations..." Chaeyoung says, clearly the only one who's still focused on her work.

"When did you get engaged?" Somi questions her.

"Oh, uhm. I think it's been... eight months?"

The whole table group gasps. They had expected to hear an answer like "last week" or something... but eight months?

"Girl??? We had no idea you were even dating someone!!" Yunjin says.

"Yeah, I don't usually wear my ring to work..."

"Huh? How come?" Sana asks.

Before Tzuyu could answer, Somi butts in with another question.
