Chapter 1. Curiosity.

An alpha of around twenty-four was relaxing on a vintage French chair sitting near the window, where he was enjoying the warm sun rays, which is not common in Paris these days as this is the end of the year and soon snowfall will start, but sitting in the warmth is making the alpha indulge himself to pursue his hobby for today.

So he let go of all the books he needed to read to pass the upcoming examinations. He grabbed the literature book from the book shelf constructed on the wall behind his study table and chair and walked towards the chair placed under the warm sun rays.

His study room looks like a royal office to a person who doesn't know him well enough. Because of all the beautiful chandeliers, which have some kind of precious crystal hanging on them, or a lamp standing behind his chair, or thick silk damask curtains and ebony walls, everything screams royalty, but he is not the one, or maybe something more than that.

He is the only son and a future hair of the Underworld leader, who is still making money even in the era of the Great Britain Depression. Where everyone, even royalty, is losing their money, big businesses shut down in a night, and so many people lost their jobs in a blink, but his father was making money by selling the parts of aviation, submarines, and weapons, which is definitely not a legal thing to do, but who has the guts to stop someone like his father, who can even kill any living body in the world with just a click of his fingers?

He is a pioneer in this business and is now ruling the whole underworld.

But his son, who is peacefully sitting beside the window, enjoying the warm sun's rays, doesn't care about all the achievements his father ever had; he was just enjoying the book about a man who is exploring the world on his wooden ship and introducing them to a whole new world with his every discovery.

He flipped the page when he was done reading the open page and immersed himself totally in those adventurous thrills.

Literature is one of his favourite hobbies to do in his spare time; besides this, he also likes to paint and travel. He has been lucky enough to visit almost every city in Europe until now, but what about those adventures beyond the borders, oceans, and continents?

One thing was for sure: one day he would just pack his essentials and leave to live an adventurous life.

But right now, the adventures of the person in that book, which he was holding in his hand, were more fascinating to know; at least he can learn by reading these books to not make the mistakes they've made in their quest for adventure.

Just when he was about to read what the explorer in the book found next in his discovery of new lands, Namjoon's screaming voice in the corridors took his attention back to the boring world he was living in.

He released a sigh and looked up from the thick book in his hand.

And just then, his friend Namjoon barged inside his study, all huffing and puffing while holding his knees.

He stood up from the chair he was sitting on and walked to his friend to ask him why he was running in the corridors of their apartment.

"Are you okay, my friend?" He asked and patted Namjoon's back.

Namjoon finally composed his breathing and extended a letter in front of his bookworm friend.

Who frowned but took the letter nonetheless.

"Who has sent this letter, Namjoon?" He asked without looking at the envelope.

"How many people send you letters that I personally come to deliver?" Namjoon asked with raised eyebrows, on which his friend shook his head lazily before opening the letter he had received.
