Suddenly, the car came to a halt, and Jimin peeked away from the firm chest of the alpha, where he had been hiding his face due to the speed- this was the first time he had experienced such swift travel.

JImin's eyes fell upon an oil lamp beside the wooden door of a bricked building.

The omega moved away from Jungkook's sturdy chest and curiously started peering through the car's foggy window, observing the charming building. Normal people strolled inside, capturing his fascinated gaze.

He observed their clothing, their gait, and the way they conversed freely, smiling and laughing without restraint-not just alphas or betas, but omegas too.

Jimin placed both of his small palms on the foggy glass, wiping it with his bare hand for a clearer view of those people, whom his mother never allowed him to engage with.

Jungkook, captivated by Jimin's innocent curiosity, making him chuckle. He longed to embrace the omega, shielding him from the outside world to savor the purity of this gentle soul. Yet, he understood what the omega truly desired and what he needed to provide to restore that lost genuine smile.

Freedom-a universal desire for every soul to spread its wings without concern for the destination. Jungkook felt compelled to aid at least this angel he had recently encountered, finding himself slowly falling in love.Jungkook smiled one last time before opening the door on his side and stepping out, leaving Jimin lost in watching people through the foggy window.

However, his view was interrupted by a broad figure blocking his sight. Jimin huffed, moved away to see who dared block his view, and found an alpha who had been sitting beside him moments ago, now looking at him with a boyish spark in his eyes.

Feeling embarrassed, Jimin cleared his throat, and Jungkook, with a light shake of his head, opened the door on Jimin's side.A cold breeze tousled Jimin's soft, golden-brown wavy hair as he gasped at the chill.

Jungkook extended his hand, and after a moment of hesitation, Jimin placed his hand in the alpha's big, warm one.

Surveying the unfamiliar narrow street, Jimin locked eyes with Jungkook once again, who clutched the omega's fragile hand, his heart skipping a beat.

Stepping onto the rocky ground, Jimin was about to set foot with the boots gifted by Jae when a large mouse, clutching a slice of cheese, darted by.

Jimin yelped but giggled nonetheless.

Exiting the car with a smile, Jungkook secured Jimin in his arms, adjusting the coat on the omega's dainty shoulders.

Walking on the footpath, Jungkook held Jimin's left hand tightly.

Jimin, however, turned to look at the mouse again, his hair scattered on his milky pale face due to the cold wind. But despite shivering, a smile adorned his naturally red lips as he watched the mouse near a drainage, where baby mice joined their mother for supper.

"Awww..." Jimin cooed, catching Jungkook's attention.

"What happened?" the oblivious alpha inquired.

"Nothing, my lord," Jimin lied, taking one last glance at the mouse family before walking with Jungkook.

The alpha frowned, realizing how easily the omega's smile could be won.

As they walked, Jimin pointed at the building he had admired before, where normal people were coming and going.

"Are we going in that building?" Jimin asked.

"No, we're going somewhere else. But promise me you won't stare at people like that," Jungkook said, circling his arm protectively around Jimin.
