Still Lillys POV
At Dinner
I was in my room looking at myself in the mirror when I noticed that I seemed slighty slimmer. 'This killer workout is...' Suddenly I turned distracted by a soft knocking sound on my window. 'Wait, my window?' I thought realizing I was at least three stories above the ground. Skepticlly I inched towards my balcony window and looked out to see Nathan on the ground throwing rocks up to my window pane.
The moment he saw me he stopped throwing the rocks and smiled up at me. "Are you crazy? We do have a door here you know." I said a with just a little bit of sarcasm. I heard him laugh, "Come down I wanna show you something." He said almost in a whisper but I heard him. "Ok let me just..." "Jump" he said interrupting my sentence. "Why the heck would I do that?" I asked him making calculations in my head of how hard id hit the ground if I jumped off all the way from the balcony.
"Do you trust me?" He asked me and I knew there was no other answer than, "Yes I trust you." I said sighing before jumping straight off the balcony and into his arms. I gasped as his arms wrapped around me stopping my fall and keeping me from the very hard ground below me. "Oh my god!" I yelled under my breath clutching on to him as if my life depended on it before smacking him on the head.
He let me go as I smacked him causing him to laugh lightly. "Id never let anything hurt you." He said then as if he noticed that he let something slip he cleared his throat and took my hand. "Follow me." He said and I followed him blindly into the forest. Anybody else took me to the forest this time of night id panic but Nathan was different than them...He wasn't everyone else or at least not to me he wasn't.
After a few minutes I noticed someone following us and on instinct turned freezing our follower. "Danny?" I said worriedly melting the ice shell around him. "Dang it, That's freaking cold." He said shaking. "Omg did I hurt you?" I asked him and he shook his head. "No, What are you doing outside?" He asked me. My eyes grew wide, "I took her out for a little fun since your workouts are killers"
"They're meant to be! Don't you get that if we loose her the pack will go into chaos!?" Danny yelled and I winced. 'The whole packs future depends on me.' I thought. "Shhh calm down." I said and they stopped arguing to look at me making me blush. "Daniel please, we won't be long come with us?" I asked him and he lowered his head. "Ok but quickly its almost time for dinner and they will notice." He said I took his hand and for a second I could've sworn Nathans skin glowed. 'Weird.' I thought following him.
Nathan's POV
'She took his hand.' I thought angriely causing my flames to dance all over my skin. 'What the hell is wrong with me!' I thought not understanding why I was angry. I took a deep breath and my flames went away as soon as they had come. I led them thru the forest and into a hidden oasis. It was a clearing surrounded by willow trees with a small lake in the center only lit by the moonlight shining down. "Omg this is beautiful Nate." Lilly said letting Daniel go and looking around.
"I thought you'd like it." I said looking her. She started walking around and Daniel walked towards me. "And you're not her mate?" He asked me looking me up and down. "No." I said "A huh that's why your smiling like a crazy person." He said and I realized it was true. I was smiling I instantly erased my smile and stayed neutral. "She already has a mate. He's waiting for her back home." I said to him.
My lips were pressed tightly together as I mentioned her mate. "Is she mated?" He asked me and I could feel myself heating up. I growled slightly, "Not as far as I know." I said. I felt a hand on my shoulder and all my anger went away my growl silenced. "What you guys talking about?" Lilly said from behind us. "Just appreciating the view." I heard Danny say to her while looking at me with a look I couldn't quite place or understand at all.
"This place is amazing. Thanx Nate." She said giving me a hug and I felt myself smiling. I could practiclly picture Danny smirking at me and pushed Lilly away. I saw a tiny spark of hurt then her smile. "Ok let's go back now." Danny said and shifted along with Lilly running towards the the place I now called home. I shifted rapidly and followed them towards home.
