ROMANCE IS IN THE AIR...
Two people don’t have to be together right now, in a month, or in a year. If those two people are meant to be, then they will be together somehow at sometime in life.
Nathan's POV
Traveling with Lillys brother was no picnic but since we were using his plane I decided not to punch him in the face. I had nothing against the kid but not knowing anything about Lilly was making both of us anxious. Not seeing her had us both on edge and at the verge of ripping each others throats out. We kept our testosterone in check but just barely. "There's a truck outside. Is that Daniel?" I heard Brad ask and nodded.
"Must be who else would it be." I answered sarcastickly. "Tomas, if you could, please refuel the plane and take a break while you're at it. Make sure to be ready for take off as soon as we come back." I heard him tell the pilots as I put on my heavy dark blue parka coat and grabbed my guitar. It was so easy to just give orders instead of doing things yourself. I would know, I'd done it as well but the stress had me on edge.
"Yes, Sir." I heard them tell him and rolled my eyes. "I'll give you a call and let you know when we're on our way. I will probably be bringing more company so if you could also have all the seats ready and the luggage compartment as well. I would really appreciate it." He added and tsked while he looked at me annoyed. "Everything will be ready for departure, Mr. Castello." They told him and I opened the door. He scolwed at me and I laughed. "Thank you guys." He said.
He quickly put on his coat and followed me a scowl still firmly on his face. "He's...big." I heard Brad state and laughed again just as we reached the truck. "Hello again Daniel." I said greeting him. "Hello Nathan. Am I to assume that this is this Brad Castello?" Daniel asked me and I couldn't help but laugh at Brads face of disbelief. "Don't mind Daniel here. He's almost always cranky. Comes with the job." I told him.
"Sure it does." He whispered but we all heard him. "Yes, this is him and like I mentioned on the phone this here is his plane. Not much cargo space but I'm certain we can fly with all your luggage without a problem." I told him as he examined the plane by sight. "Get in the truck. Ill drive us back..." he began only to be interrupted by Danile. "But I want to see this proof that Lilly and I are blood relative. Alph..." he didn't get to finish because no sooner had he began to mention Alphas when Daniel had him by the neck.
"This is not the place to discuss private matters and while you might be her brother she is my priority. If you endanger her in anyway, mark my words, I will personally rip out your throat with my claws." Daniel whispered to him before releasing him and he fell desperately gasping for air. "Something is wrong with you." Brad told Daniel but Daniel just shrugged.
"Probably, Now get in could you?" He asked again and this time he stepped inside no questions asked. I quickly sat on the front seat and buckled in as Daniel took off. Once we were on the road Daniel spoke up, "Sorry about back there but I take my job very seriously and if people found out about Lilly it'd be chaos." He told Brad who simply nodded. "I can understand that." Brad added.
Brad's POV
My throat ached from having Daniels vice like grip around my neck. Just as I was rubbing my neck he spoke, "Sorry about back there but I take my job very seriously and if people found out about Lilly it'd be chaos." I just nodded. "I can understand that." I told him while still massaging my sore neck. He rummaged through the glove compartment and threw a water bottle at me. "Drink it. It'll help and don't worry its not poisoned. Lilly and I made it to help with pain an healing." He said and I shrugged drinking it all.
Strangely enough I did feel better after drinking the strange water he gave me. "The papers are all in suitcase back there. Open it and see." He told me and for the first time I noticed that there had been a small suitcase besides me all along. Weird, how I didn't notice it before. I opened it to find it filled with various documents including passaports, birth certificates, death certicates, among various other legal papers.
I quickly shuffled through everything before my hand landed on a blue tinged paper with big bold letter, DNA LAB RESULTS, I freezed. I ripped open the envelope and stared at the results, 'Compatibility test donw between DNA 1 and DNA 2 have revealed to come from the same family group sharing...' I stopped reading after that as the cold realization hit me head on.
"We are siblings." I whispered the letter falling back into the now unrecognizable pile. "Wait," I said as something else also came to mind, "How did you get my DNA? I didn't give anyone anything and how do I know this is actually my DNA?" I questioned and I had the feeling both of them would laugh had the situation not been what it was.
"It is your DNA I made sure of that. The how, when, and why don't matter. Besides the how is classified." He answered and for a second I thought of punching him but then I realized he was driving and I didn't particularly feel like crashing in a frozen terrain. "He doesn't lie." was all Nathan said sternly. I didn't want to believe a word they were saying but then as if the truth was slowly crawling into my heart. I accepted it.
They had no reason to lie. Besides the evidence was right in front of me. A phone rang bringing me back to reality from the dark recesses of my mind. "Yes...Mhh, ok ill get some. See you soon." Daniel said and Nathan asked if it was Lilly. A warm feeling of protectiong crept over me at the mere mention of her name. Many things made sense to me now including our similar facial features. It wasn't like we were twins but now with everything in front of me I saw the truth.
We parked in front of a story and Daniel got off. "Ill only be a minute." He said to nobody in particular. He could've been talking to me but I was still in a daze. Nathan got of along with Daniel and went inside leaving me alone for a few minutes before they returned. Daniel now had what appeared to be a gallon of green tea. Nathan had what appeared to be a dozen of mixed color roses all individually stemed.
"Are we far from where ever it is that you're staying?" I asked Daniel and he shook his head. "Not very far from here. Put away all the documents and lock the case." He told me and I did as he said. "What's with the guitar and the roses?" I asked Nathan who seemed to be dreaming with his eyes and his mind somewhere else. "You'll see." Where the only words that left his mouth.
"When we arrive Lilly will be pissed...with me. So watch yourselves. She has a temper sometimes." Daniel stated and Nathan laughed. "So she doesn't know we're related or does she?" I asked and he shook his head. "No, she doesn't know and you're going to tell her." He said just as we turned down a street. A small house visible from afar.
"Show time." I heard someone say from up front an sighed as Daniel stopped the truck and opened the doors. "Talk to her first then i'll make my move. Don't tell her I'm her." Nathan asked me and I nodded, "I won't." I stepped outside the truck and saw as Daniel walked inside. A few moments later he stepped out his cheek displayed the distinct shape of a fist and he spit out blood. He didn't seem upset though. His eyes held a sparkle and strangely enough a smile grazed his lips. The moment she saw me... She cried.
