CHAPTER 35

Lillys POV

The moment we stepped into the fighting arena they charged us with all they got and I couldn't help but think how bad that move was for them. They all went for Daniel thinking of taking down the competition before going for the weakling, me. I immediatly pulled two of the attackers off him only to have them stare at me surprised.

I smiled and they raced towards me but I slid by right beneath them before landing two powerful kicks on there hindside. They fell foward but immediatly stood back up both throwing punches on opposite sides of me. The moment there fist touched my skin they pulled back and I focused on one at a time. Fists flew all around me and I instinctively turned into fighting mode. The movements came to me as if I had been born knowing them and I guess I was. After all being a warrior was what being an alpha was about besides being a good leader.

By time I realized it I had the last man standing by the neck and I slammed him down. That finished the fight since he was knocked out on contact. At first I thought I mightve been to harsh but when they got up rubbing there sore muscles and bruises I knew they were ok. We wolves healed rapidly so they'd be back to normal in no time. It was only when a bruised Daniel came towards me that I realized just how much my body ached from all the hits I had taken.

We had been fighting without our powers and it hurt like a b*tch but it was fair. Besides we still kicked there ass pretty well. The alpha looked at us surprised before clapping, "I underestimated both of you and I have been shown just how much." He said with a half smile. "Why don't you join my pack and become warriors?" He asked us just as a cut on my cheek healed. 'When did I cut my cheek?' I asked myself. "So sorry but we already have a pack." I told the alpha.

He laughed, "Ok well since you won and I'm a man of my word. You may take them with you. May your journey be fruitful." He said and we departed the young couple in tow. The moment we got back Daniel began fusing over me making sure I wasn't too hurt. "Does something hurt?" He asked me looking me all over while the other two watched us silently. "Thank you." The girl Jersey said and we looked at her surprised.

"I'm fine Danny." I told him and he huffed away. "You two stay put where gonna get cleaned up and come back. Don't leave or we'll find you and trust me there's nowhere you can hide." Daniel said visibly scaring the young couple. I went to my room took a quick shower and changed into some khaki capries and a white tank top with flats.

By the time I was finished brushing my hair Danny had already been outside watching the couple for awhile. "Danny babe stop creeping them out." I said as walked behind him and rested my hand on his shoulder. "Look guys we don't wanna frighten you but we are also not stupid Danny here." I said tapping on Dannies shoulder. "Will take you down the second he feels like your endangering me. He's protective like that and trust me he knows what he's doing." I said smiling they just kept there heads down.

I could feel Daniel smiling and I was reassured that he would take them down the second he felt I was endangered. "We don't have a room for you so until I figure out what we're gonna do with you you'll be staying here in the living room. I trust that'll be no problem?" I asked them and they nodded. There eyes made my heart squirm with guilt. I knew I was being harsh but by getting them I had taken a huge risk and I wasn't about to let that be in vain.

We all had lunch and then I sent Danny out with a list of there clothes size so he could get them a few outfits, all basics. Once Danny left I saw a glint of something in Calebs eyes triggering instinct in me and I let one of my hands burst into flames. "You saw me fight but you don't know me." I said playing with the flames in my hands. Suddenly I extinguish the flames with a snap and stand up, "We had a rough start." I said.

I began pacing around while talking, "But I would like for us to get to know each other. I want peace while you stay here after which you'll have to decide where to go." I told them something they already knew. "Meanwhile what do we do?" Jersey asked me and I looked at her. "I came here to train with Daniel to further perfect my technique. I came her to be better and before I let you in I need to know something about you." I said pausing before moving on.

"I need to know that you will be loyal to me and only me. I cannot and will not house traitors in my home. I only want people I can trust near me. Do you both think you can swear your loyalty to me?" I asked them seriously. They looked at each other then looked at me, " We...", Caleb said taking hold of Jerseys hand, "We are capable of giving you our complete and total loyalty." The said together and I nodded. "Ok." I said.

Daniel "Danny" POV

I walked around the town looking for some extra set of clothes for the couple we now had back at the cabin. I didn't want them near Lilly but if they were going to be with us we couldn't let them just round around dirty and tattered. I went into the store and a young perky girl walked up to me, "Welcome to Orange Desire how can I help you?" She said while batting her eyes at me. 'Ha she's flirting with me.' I thought and laughed.

She raised her eyebrow and I realized I had laughed outloud. "No thanx I'm just gonna look around for myself." I told her and she looked dissapointed. "Okey let me know." She said and sauntered back to the cash register. I had been with plenty of girls in my type heck I was a guy and this girl was plenty hot but Lilly was my priority until I found my mate if I ever did. I wouldn't allow my hormones to distract me from my duty.

I walked towards the jeans section and started just piling a few random unisex jeans into my cart before moving to the shirt. Again I just threw random shirts and blouses into the cart along with some undergartment for the couple. As I headed off towards the cash register I realized I still needed to get shoes. I slowly made my way to the shoe isles and grabbed some regular tennis for bothe. Finally I payed and left with everything in the car. The cashier girl smiled and handed me my recipt with her phone number on it.

Just as I was about to throw it away I shrugged and tucked it into my pocket. As I drove back to the cabin my phone rang and I answered it immediatly. "Daniel I've been trying to contact you for two days. Where is my grand daughter and how is she?" My alpha asked angriely, "Hello Alpha Krieger. Alpha Sophia is perfectly healthy. She just changed her mind and decided to keep training before heading back to her old pack instead of partying." I told him.

"You should have reported it back to me the second she changed her mind. Why don't you just bring her back home." He told me and I knew I should have but with all the moving I hadn't had the time. "Yes sir I messed up but I was kept busy tracking your grand daughter and keeping her safe. She doesn't wish to go home sir. Not yet anyway or I would've taken her home already." I said.

My alpah was older than most alphas but he was strong and smart with the power to influence peoples feeling, too bad that hadn't worked on his daughter Crimson. "Alright, keep me posted." He told me harshly. "Yes sir." I told him and hanged up just as I turned around the corner to the cabin. I was mildly worried about Lilly but I knew she was smart enough to protect herself. Even if she wasn't her powers were advance and very powerful. If she wanted she could blow them away or worse...She could burn them to a crisp.
