CHAPTER 45

Nathans POV

I had very little patience sometimes and waiting for Brad to arrive was killing me. I hadn't heard from Daniel yet but then again it wasn't like too much time had passed by. Knock, Knock, Knock! A loud knocking came from the door and I walked out to see Brad standing by the door with a suitcase. I knew his invitation to stay at his house was a ruse to tag me and follow me to Lilly but I was smarter than that. I also didn't know where she was so there's no way id lead him to her.

"Come in, there's three rooms here the master room is mine but you can choose between the other two." I told him locking the door behind him. "Thank you but you really should've come stay with me. Its cheaper." He replied and I shook my head. "Nah, well maybe but I like this place." I half whispered as my mind went somewhere else. "Anyway choose your room and meet me back in the living room so we can talk." I added and left him to his business.

A short while later he found his way to the living room where I was watching tv, low music playing in the background. "Is that Papa Roach in the background?" He asked me and I nodded knowing that Lilly was the writer behind the song. "It reminds me of her and how wonderfull her voice is, how she glows when she does but most of all it reminds me of how much she's changed. She's amazing, beautiful, smart, strong, and she's original. She's perfect but she can't see that herself." I beamed and he just looked at me while my mind went to her.

"Yeah she is." He replied and I couldn't help but smile like a madman. "How do you know her? Where did you meet?" He asked me and I couldn't help but reminisce. "We actually met at the airport terminal," I laughed, "I saw her crying and offered her a drink. She didn't take it but we started talking until they called us to board the plane. As luck would have it we ended up sitting next to each other on the plane." I remarked and he nodded.

"Did you notice then that you were mates?" He asked me and I shook my head. "Actually, no I didn't. We didn't know because she was supressing her scent. I didn't know why and since her scent was supressed it meant she couldn't sense my scent eighter. So we it was a while before she let her guard down and then it hit us both like a sledge hammer to the face." I replied laughing at the memory.

"We literally bursted into flames when we touched. I have the power to both create and manipulate fire to her its a sub-power since she can manipulate and create the elements. When I say she glowed I'm not lying. She was scared though because she didn't understand what was happening with us. She kept repeating to herself more than anyone that she had a mate, that you were her mate and she couldn't do that to you." I admitted and frowned.

"So how long have you known her exactly?" He asked me again. "I've known her for at least a couple of years now. Since the airport till a few months ago we had a fight sort of and she ran off with Daniel." I declared angriely before taking a deep breath and calming down. "Daniel?" He questioned and I sighed. That's right he didn't know him yet. "He's her personal guard part of the Alphas elite sentry." I spoke as if he should've known already but how could he.

"I don't mean to be short with you forgive me but sometimes my temper gets the best of me." I remarked as he looked at me surprised. "Why would she have an alphas guard?" He questioned curious to know and I understood that so I told him. "She found her family and as it turns out she's future alpha to the Krieger Pack in Europe." I said as if it were common knowledge. We spent the rest of the afternoon talking about Lilly.

"Wow." He said when I was done. "You're an alphas kid too but not to her pack. In any case you'd be alpha to your fathers pack but as I understand it his pack was destroyed when the Kriegers found out he was responsible for taking Crimson, there daughter." I told him and he seemed a bit confused. "They didn't kill everyone but the leaders had to go. To the Kriegers it was high treason and they caused there only daughters death. That was something they couldn't just let go off." I remarked and got up for a drink but stopped myself.

I knew Lilly didn't like how much I used to drink and over my time with her I had stopped or at least reduced my intake. I couldn't restart now and dissapoint her. "Where is she now and where is this proof you mentioned before?" He questioned and walked back to my seat. "I don't know where she is now and I don't have the proof with me, Daniel, her guard has everything on you. He's the one that called me to find you." I replied.

"If you two are actual mates then can't you track her?" He asked me and I nodded. "Sure, but she doesn't want me too and I won't push her besides Daniel asked me to wait for his call and that's what I'm doing." I added. "He did only call me like a day ago so now all I have to do is wait." I repeated and he looked out the window where it began to rain. "My father was a criminal then, heartless and narcissistic." He spoke almost to himself and I didn't know what to say.

"Look just because your dad was a dick doesn't mean that you will be one as well. Look at Lilly and look at yourself now. Neighter one of you is anything like your father." I emphasized but he didn't look at me he just kept looking out the window. "I hope so." He whispered and I went back to thinking about my love. How long would it be till I saw her again? How much could she have changed? I guess I would just have to wait and see her to meet with her again.
