Stiles Perspective

I shut off my Jeep and got off. Scott and I ran up to her door. I frequently pressed the door bell and waited for an answer. The door opened and revealed the girl.

"What do you two want?" She asked.

"We just wanna hang out." I said. And smiled.

"Come in." She said and opened the door all the way. When we got in she shut it.

Merideth's Perspective

"So what do you guys wanna do?" I asked and looked at them.

"Wanna learn about each other?" Scott asked.

"Sure. But first. I never got your name." I said and pointed to the boy I ran into.

"Stilinski. Stiles Stilinski." He said and put forth his hand.

"Hunter. Merideth Hunter. But I really don't like my first name so call me by my last name." I said and shook his hand.

"But Merideth is a unique name. I like you're first name. But whatever you like." Scott said and looked at me seriously.

"Thanks but you don't have to lie." I said and walked into my living room.

"I'm not lying but okay." Scott said and sat down on the couch. I took off my combat boots off and went to get a blanket from the closet. I didn't like how thick my thighs were so I wanted to cover them up.

"You cold?" Stiles chuckled as I walked back into the room.

"Huh?" I asked.

"You've got a blanket." Stiles pointed to the black blanket.

"Oh,yeah. I'm freezing right now." I said and sat down on the couch.

"So who wan't to ask the first question?" Scott asked.

"I do! I do!" Stiles said and jumped up and down like a little kid.

"Okay,ask." Scott directed.

"Okay. What brought you to California?"

"Well my dad's old job sent him here but then they fired him and his current job quickly hired him after." I answered.

"Cool. You ask the next question." Scott said taking off his jacket.

"Hmm. How long have you guys known each other?"

"We've known each other since like the third grade." Scott said and looked at Stiles to make sure he was correct.

"Yep. Partners in crime. Literally." He laughed. I laughed alone and Scott soon joined in.

"Okay. I get to ask now." Scott said and clapped his hands.

"What do your parents do for a living?" I inhaled sharply and breathed out heavily.

"Well my dad's a police officer." I said and sat back.

"What about your mom?" Stiles asked.

"My mom died in a plane crash." I mumbled while looking down.

"I'm so sorry." Stiles said and furrowed his eye brows. I got up and walked up stairs.

"Are you okay?" Scott said and slowly followed me. I kept walking. I got to my room and picked up the picture of my mom, dad, and I at when we went to the beach the last time before my mom died.

"That's your mom? You look exactly like her. Except for your eye color. Not only in the picture but in real life." Scott said and looked between me in the picture and in person.

"I were contacts cause I don't like my original eye color." I lied.

"Oh." Scott said and put the picture back.

"Don't worry she's in a better place now. This world is cruel and she sure as hell went to heaven." Stiles said walked into my room.

"I know it's just...I never got to tell her what had happened. I didn't get to cry in her shoulder. I didn't get to hear her somewhat calming words," I started crying," and worst of all! I didn't get to tell her goodbye. Before or during her damn flight!"

I walked towards my bed and landed face first on my pillow.

"Maybe you didn't but when you think about it in the middle of the night she's listening to your thoughts. Thinking about why she let you go." Scott said and sat down next to me.

I sat up and climbed into his arms.

"You guys are great. I wish we could be friends." I sighed.

"Why can't we?" Scott asked.

"Well, I'm the new girl. Nobody likes the new girl. And plus you probably don't even want to be my friend."

"You're an awesome new girl. And I want to your friend!" Stiles said and tackled me and Scott in a hug.

"God you're so heavy. Get off me!" Scott squealed.

"I'm not that fat!"

"You're not fat you just have a manly build!" I corrected and kissed his cheek. He blushed and I got up.

I looked out my window and saw it had stopped raining. My dad's cop car pulled into the driveway. I ran down stairs and quickly folded the blanket. I ran back up stairs and slammed my door. The boys looked at my weird and asked what I was doing.

"My dad's here. We've gotta go."
