"We've come too far to give up on who we are" I say slowly, persuasively into the microphone, "We need to get back our freedom. We all know that we can't go back to the corruption that was the system. So let's raise the bar and bring the war." I let my voice grow in strength and give time for my words to resonate. "In three weeks time we will be recruiting in Las Vegas" I inform everyone listening to my voice and the recording light shuts off.
Legion goes back to explaining the necessity of a revolution. The need for a change is obvious. I get up and walk out of the studio and into the empty lobby. Grabbing my keys I saunter out of the building.******
Once back home I pack my bags and keep it to the minimal basics; makeup, leather, denim, color, and spray paint. I dress slowly in black and pale blue tight leather pants and my mother's black and red tight leather jacket. The outfit is tight yet comfortable and protective. Combat boots and my gun belt complete the ready for anything look. As I head for the door I spot Donovan ready for action; dressed in leather and rock n' roll, his jacket slung over his shoulder and his newly dyed hair all punk rock. A sly grin creeps onto my lips and hand in hand we exit the house.
We head to the red corvette which I insisted that I keep. Alix wasn't too keen on this issue but eventually gave in when I have him my mustang. Tossing our bags into the back seat, too excited to speak we pump up the music and tear out of our old lives and into the future with Hell at the wheel and Heaven in the passenger seat.
On the way west we make several stops and meet some memorable people. Roman James is a skilled pyrotechnic, Mackendra Black is a profound artist and Akyra Dane is a computer genius. They inform us of riots and protests against the soviets. The people are restless. Later we meet Ronin, Pavan and Magnus who are all exceptional fighters willing to fight for freedom. On our way we stop as often as we can and meet as many people as possible. Learning many things such as the soviets are getting anxious, a lot of soviets have been captured by border troops who interrogate them and they all seem to want freedom. We must act soon.
