Chapter 6: Gu Nanke

An Nuo got up very early this time. She started to wake up around five or six o'clock in the morning. She had always been a person who loved to have dreams, but even the smallest thing could ruin her mood for the day.

Perhaps she had been single for too long. She was dreaming about Qi Yan more often. What's even more incredulous was that she had fallen in love with him. She stared at the ceiling for a moment before getting up. She managed to gather up her energy and made some sushi. When she thought of how Gu Nanke would come to pick her up today, she made him one out of politeness.

When An Nuo finished packing up, she remembered that Gu Nanke didn't have her phone number and wondered how he would contact her. The phone rang as if it had sensed her thoughts. She quickly grabbed it to answer it.

"Hello..." An Nuo didn't know why she had this weird problem. She had an extreme dislike for answering phones, but it was more of a fear than a dislike. She was very afraid of the phone ringing. Xia Qiuyi knew about her problem. She never called her unless it was extremely important. There were only a few people who had An Nuo's number.

"Sister, did you just wake up?" As soon as she heard Gu Nanke's voice, her heart relaxed a bit. "Sorry, you haven't accepted my friend request, so I have to call." Gu Nanke had a slightly boyish tone. It was always upbeat, making it difficult for anyone to get angry with him.

She smiled helplessly and said, "I'm ready. Where are you?"

"I'm downstairs." Then she heard the sound of the car door opening. It sounded like he was seeing what the temperature was outside. "The weather is not very good today, sister. You should wear more clothes and be careful not to catch a cold."

"Okay, I'll be right down." Fortunately, An Nuo was well prepared. She quickly grabbed what she had prepared and rushed downstairs.

It was really cold outside. She was just in a heated room, and as soon as she came out, her body felt like it was drenched in cold water. She felt a piercing cold throughout her.

"Sister." She looked up and saw that Gu Nanke was looking at her with a big smile. In the icy breeze, he looked pitiful. She didn't know why Gu Nanke didn't wait for her in the car. Instead, he was standing downstairs. He wore a black coat today with a grey sweater underneath. He looked very casual. However, as the saying goes, a good-looking person could look good even if they were wearing rags.

Looking at his cold white face, An Nuo felt a bit guilty and quickly handed him the warm hand treasure in her arms. Just as he was about to refuse, An Nuo inexplicably thrust it into his hands. At that moment, Gu Nanke touched An Nuo's hand, which was small but soft and warm. As he thought about it, he suddenly felt an indescribable feeling in his heart.

When she was about to get into the car, Gu Nanke helped her open the car door. In order to prevent her from hitting the roof, he placed his hands at the top. An Nuo was very grateful for his attentiveness. She had not been alone with a boy for a long time, which made her less cautious.

When An Nuo fastened her seat belt, she suddenly remembered that she hadn't given him the sushi yet, which troubled her. She thought about how she was going to say it, but she didn't think it sounded right or was the proper way to say it. In the end, she asked, "Have you had breakfast yet?"

Gu Nanke only glanced at the bag she was holding and had a rough understanding. "It depends on whether sister made it herself or bought it."

"I made it myself. It might taste average, but do you want it?" An Nuo was still not used to spending time alone with a boy, and he was a few years younger than her. She was a bit embarrassed and didn't know what else to say.

Gu Nanke: "Of course I do. How can sister's food be average? What did you prepare?"

An Nuo: "Just some sushi and homemade milk tea. I like sweet kinds, but I don't know if you will like it."

"Wow! I also like eating sweet things. There's a great dessert shop on XX Road, and we can go together next time. I'm still struggling to find someone to share this happiness with me. I just thought of something that makes me annoyed. Sister, do you remember Wei Ming, Xia Qiuyi's boyfriend? With his stone face, he said desserts are something that only children like to eat, and he said I was childish. When he went with Xia Qiuyi to eat, I never saw him mock her like that! What a hypocrite!" As Gu Nanke said these things, he looked angry for a moment. An Nuo watched Gu Nanke and only felt that he was really cute. His emotions were written on his face, as if he had no worries. She was really envious of this.

Due to how open Gu Nanke was about this conversation, An Nuo showed that she was listening carefully even though she did not say anything. It made the atmosphere between them much more relaxed.
