"I'm sorry we didn't tell you this before dear. I know this may be a little sudden, but since you kind of refuse to go back to your family, we'd like to adopt you. We've always wanted a daughter"

"And I always wanted a younger sister" Sawyer added in.

"So what do you say?"
--------------------------------------
She thought for a moment. She knew exactly what her answer would be but she didn't want to make it so sudden or obvious of her feelings. But she second guessed herself. Her options were to decline or agree... thinking back to the previous events and thinking about what could be the subsequent if she stayed, she finally made up her mind.

"I've been very grateful for your help and shelter but I'm going to have to decline. I apologize for my inconvenience. I think I'll be going now."

They all stared at Akane in shock. They never thought she'd decline!

"Honey... at least accept some clothing and food from us! You can't leave us worrying for you like this."

"You are a mom of three boys. I suppose your right. I'll accept."

"Great!" Kirsten replied with a bright smile. "Boys! Pack up some food for Akane!" Sawyer and his brothers walked into the kitchen obeying and Kirsten whispered something in her husbands ear. He nodded and followed his sons into the kitchen.

"Follow me" Kirsten said with a smile.

She nodded but really was thinking, What did I get myself into now?
She watched as Kirsten dug through her closet looking for clothes now far too small that would fit Akane. Sighing in defeat, she handed Akane one dress. She tiptoed into Sawyer's room only to return with two jeans and shirts, a jacket, and an old hat.

"Thank you" She spoke as she took the clothing from her.

"Wait right here." Kirsten responded tersely.

Since she already got herself into this ness, Akane supposed she'd have to wait herself out of it. Kirsten returned about five minutes later with a large bag worn on the side for her to carry everything. She placed the clothing inside and gestures for her to follow to the Kitchen.

Peeking her head in, she asked "Are you boys done yet?" Only to find them standing there talking and fighting. She sighed and slightly shoved them out of the way mumbling something Akane couldn't hear. Aric and Skyler examined Akane once more with an odd look on their face and returned to their rooms. Sawyer gave her a warm smile and when his brothers left, gave her a comforting hug.

She was quite startled by this. She barely knew him but she hugged him back anyways.

The next thing she knew, Kirsten already took a picture of them and handed her the bag of food, clothing and probably some water.

"Well I best be off now. Thank you for all your help. Maybe we'll meet up again someday." Akane said as she walked out the door.

"Wait!" Kirsten almost yelled abruptly. "Honey, where will you be going?" Kirsten asked in worry.

"I'm not exactly sure yet... I guess I'll go the path untaken." She replied as she shot them a slight smile at them. With that, she was off.

(Around) 1 Month Later:

Akane walked around the streets, still wearing Sawyer's old jacket Kirsten had gave her around a month ago. Her blue eyes lingered throughout the stores looking for the grocery store. Finally, she found it and entered trying to look as casual as possible. She immediately dashed to the meat section as her mouth watered staring at all the raw meat. She took some steaks, ribs, and ground beef. She couldn't pay for all of what she wanted. She had to remind herself, she was here for what she needed not what she wanted. She wouldn't let greed take control. Shuffling over to the produce section, she snatched what she needed and almost ran to the cashier counter trying to avoid gaze. She exited the store as soon as she paid and turned the corner into an alley way. She followed the path until she reached an opening where there was a small, abandoned tourists gift store. She entered and smiled as she did. "Ileni! I'm back!" No response. Her eyes widened. "Ileni?" She started to panic now. "Ileni?!? If this is a joke, it's not funny!" There was no movement, no sound. "ILENI!!!" She yelled in distress. Her lonely voice echoes through the old gift shop. She dropped the bags and sprinted to Ileni's room. There, she found Ileni laying on the floor. Her eyes were rolled back and she wasn't breathing. A gash of blood remained on her hip. Blood stained the floor and Akane wondered how long she had been dead for. She had left only 2 days ago back to Fultonville.
