Nightmare hasn't returned yet so you yawned and decided to close your book as you decided to closer your eyes as well..."hmm....just a quick.....nap.." you said as you slouched down and fell asleep. There was the sound of creaking as Nightmare returned. "Human I-" he paused as he saw you sleeping, he grumbled annoyed as he walked up to you. Nightmare set down the spell book he was holding as he was about to wake you up.
He noticed how soft your face looked in the light from the moon as your eye lashes casted a small shadow on your face. "hmm..." Nightmare said as he seemed to be in a bit of a deep thought. 'I should ask her what soul trait she is.....perphaps....' he set the book down as he snapped his fingers trying to wake her up. "hmmm a deep sleeper I see?" he muttered, as he used one of his tendrils to lift you up and to the couch.
"I'm sure Sans would be....awfully angry if I didn't put you somewhere comfy." He muttered as he set you on the couch. "Human....hey...wake up..." he said his voice sounding a bit annoyed. he huffed a bit, 'Well since she isn't going to wake up might as well go back to-' Nightmare was cut out of his thoughts when he felt you cuddling with his tentacle. He sighed and sat down on the couch deciding to read up on his book. 'I despise you human....your just a regular old human....nothing special....is what I thought of you....but...when you first came here....your aura always....had something that....seemed to intrigue me.....and that night when' Nightmare could feel his face heat up a bit as one of his tentacles started wagging a little.
'The night when you.....tripped and moved your body c-close to mine...wait....why do I feel....so flustered....why?...' Nightmare couldn't concentrate on his book anymore. All he could think of was that night when you were Horrors room and how you tripped and pinned him on accident. He felt some shifting coming from you as you yawned, and once you realized what you been hugging you gasp a bit as you get up from the couch quickly. "I-I'm sorry I didn't mean to do that....I hope that didn't make you uncomfortable..." you said bit worried since you were still scared of him a bit but he just sighed in response and shook his head.
"its fine....glad your awake though...when you so rudely decided to take a nap when I left." he said as he glared at you a bit. "oh...I'm sorry I was just..." Nightmare swatted a hand at her. "its fine its fine...now....I came here to show you this human." Nightmare said as he used a tentacle to get the book he left at the table, her eyes lite up from seeing the book, it looked like one of the books you would see on a Catalyst in Genshin, well the really cool ones. "Woah.....whats that?" Y/n asked as Nightmare rolled his eye light. "A book that can allow me to see your soul trait.....you do know what yours is right?" Nightmare asked you as he rose an eye brow a bit, and you just seemed to be in a bit of thought.
"Well....my soul is to be red I believe..." you said as he nodded his head, "Um...don't all soul colors have meanings?" you asked as he nodded his head and opened the heavy looking book. "See......red is usually determination.....but....it can always convey other things as well, it can also show understanding." Nightmare said as he took a mental note on your soul trait being the reason why you were so understanding. "Woah....that soul looks so pretty." you pointed at the white one not even reading what the definition of having that soul was. "Well that soul MAY look pretty but it's not...it says here....that it represents soullessness." You nodded as a small memory of you eavesdropping on Dream and Ink fighting, and how Dream yelled at Ink and told him he was soulless.
"Human.....hello?" he waved his hand around your face slowly. "O-oh I'm sorry I was just thinking." you said quietly as he scoffed a bit. "If you are still tired....then you may leave to sleep." Nightmare said as you shook your head a bit. "No, I'm not....sorry that was rude of me..." you said looking at the floor as he nodded his head. "Well...it was indeed rude.....but to continue where we were...the reason to why I brought this book was not to just see your soul but to also see if you could de some....magic.." He said as your eyes lit up a bit
